I just happened to be in Brussels when this was going on- unbeknownst to me- I'd never even heard of it, but I just happened to, on a late Saturday evening, walk right up on a large crowd of people flashing pictures and spotlights shining down, people sticking out of every crevice and window of the buildings on the square... I was like good lord! Is there a concert starting or something, curious, I made my way to the front where I saw the flower carpet.... I was in awe.... I was excited to take my wife to see it the next morning, and we did, but the splendor was gone, it was abnormally hot and the flowers had wilted and were drying and blowing in the wind. She got to see the main idea, but the soul of the carpet had escaped it.
