Clearly this is not the most atmospheric restaurant in Brussels neither the one with the best food. What it does offer is good food for a reasonable price.
The restaurant has two formulas: surprise menus and a la carte. In terms of surprise menus, it is possible to choose 3, 4 or 5 courses. We opted for the three course surprise menu (at 30 euros). It turned out that they served three dishes from the a la carte menu. In fact, it were exactly the three dishes (asparagus, pintadeau, strawberries + icecream) that I would have chosen if I had gone for a la carte. Choosing the surprise menu saved us, in this respect, about 10 euros/person. If we would have paid a la carte prices, the price/quality would have been debatable. Before the first dish, there was an amuse bouche.
The food itself was really good. The asparagus and the pintadeau were very well prepared; the presentation was basic. That having said, some of the other a la carte dishes served to other guests looked less appealing, particularly some of the shellfish dishes (at least in terms of presentation).
We took the accompanying wines with our menu. This was 10 euros for two glasses of relatively basic wine. On the upside, there was a refill of both glasses. Perhaps, however, it is a good idea to order a full bottle when dining with more than two people. The wine list is quite good and the bottles are well priced.
The only real downside of this restaurant is the interior, which is really quite depressing. Only when the restaurant was full and all the guests were enjoying their dinner, the atmosphere became a bit more lively. Apart from the interior, it was a good experience.
