Located on Rue de Stassart in Brussels, one would not think that a hotel can possibly be built on such a tight street, but there it is. Apart from being narrow, the street is very busy but once inside the hotel, you will not hear the sound and noise of vehicles. The location is ideal because Porte de Namur is within a very short walking distance and there are already several fast food restaurants and shops in very close proximity of the hotel. If you want branded and luxury brands, you also can just walk towards Ave. Louise which is about 10 minutes away from Aqua. The hotel's location already adds a shining star to this hotel. Inside Aqua, is a very trendy and modern interior design and the hotel is quite new. The bedrooms are new with a modern design and quite high-tech. Shutters can be opened just with a push of a button. The double room has a big bed that can fit three people, ideal for a couple with a child. There is a bathtub in the double room and and a hallway. By contrast, the twin room doesn't have a hallway but the two beds are wider than most twin beds in other hotels. It doesn't have a bath but a rain shower which I prefer. The rooms are new and very clean. There is a small fridge in each room. No mini bar. There is no restaurant in this hotel. This is why I call it a modern day bed and breakfast deluxe because the only major activity to do in this hotel is to sleep and have breakfast. Without a restaurant, it's not possible to get a late midnight snack from room service. So what this hotel literally offers is a good night's sleep in full comfort and a reasonable breakfast. Some people here complain of the inadequate choice of food for breakfast but you can't expect more than what you pay for. The breakfast is reasonable as it has enough on offer for the different breakfast types. There are cereals, fresh fruits, croissants and other french breads, toast slices and rolls. The croissants are very good. There are hard-boiled eggs and scrambled eggs that are kept warm. On some days there is bacon. There's also an egg cooker for those who prefer soft-boiled egg. There are cold cuts and assorted fresh vegetables. Upon seating, a very friendly and smiling staff greets you to ask if you want tea or coffee. There are also about 3 different fresh fruit juices. The very simple breakfast beats most of the continental breakfasts served in other 3-star or 2-star hotels, like the ones in the U.S. The hotel mainly caters to business people who have conferences in the nearby areas or tourists who spend most of the day outside. It is also in close proximity to the EU offices. Hence, Aqua would be a perfect crash-in for people who have a full-day schedule and would just need an inexpensive place to sleep. A deluxe three-star because of its new and modern rooms, Aqua also offers free wi-fi and parking ticket to the paid parking which is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel. What defines Aqua is the warmth and friendliness of its staff. My first stay with Aqua was in February for the weekend and then again on April 11 and 12. I will definitely come back to this hotel because I find it very convenient for shopping. I like that when my hands are full of shopping bags, I can just walk back to the hotel and drop the bags and continue my shopping. Time is not wasted in taking public transportation. There are so many shops near Aqua and the last thing you need is a cut in your shopping time with travel. This is a good 3-star hotel.
