“Everything was great but the service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I saw this on our was into the city and had to stop since all the chi chis in the us shut down years ago. We were happy we did. The food was just as we remembered. The only unpleasant parts were the service was horrible and the waiters I attentive. Also the place had only 1 other group in there consisting of loud drunk older ladies and they insisted on seating us right next to them even though all other tables were free. We loved it for the nostalgia but if your looking for good service it won't be here.

“Horrible!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

So I was seated next to the kitchen and I could see everything. Nice to know that our food is old, watching it get warmed up in the microwave and then brought out. But let me start with there were 4 of us. We sat down, 25 min later they take our drink order. Then two drinks came, 10 min later one and then shortly after that the last all by different people. So we finally flag someone down to order, apps and main dish. We get our apps 20 min later then 40 minutes after that we ask where our food is and get attitude to be patient its coming, remember I can see in the kitchen plan as day in its not. So we ask for a bill dont get one so we put enough down to cover what we actually received. Then the manager comes outside to get us and we tell him what the deal is. He tells us they serve the main dish 10-20 after we get the appetizers. But refusses to read the receipt he tells us to read for the time stamps. Appetizers recieved at 9:08 and we are talking to the manager at 9:56...10-20 min after when?? Then he tried tellin us our food was ready and waiting for us at our table...we can see it from where we all are and there is nothing on our table. In the end to get out of the place we ended up paying for a meal we didn't get...119 Euro!! Worst place I have ever been!

“Lively restaurant and filling meals”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Compared to other Chi-Chi's restaurants in Belgium I've been to, this one has the best atmosphere and the most customers as well. The restaurant is located more or less in the center of Brussels, near many other restaurants and shops, so there always are other people around in the area. This also leads to longer than average waiting times on peak moments.
As for the atmosphere, a selection of relatively well-known Latin music plays continuously through the restaurant's speakers, which adds to the Tex-Mex atmosphere. The decoration is certainly different from western or Asian restaurants (obviously), thanks to southern colours and subtle references to Mexican culture. It could have been more Mexican though...
Last but not least: the food. Their menu offers typical Mexican dishes: Burrito (Grande), Trio de Tacos, 3 Amigos, Ensenada etc. but they also offer a choice of American burgers and so-called wraps, which basically are cold, flour tortillas, filled with salad and either chicken or beef, but I'm not really certain about the choice of meat for those wraps. While most of their food tastes fine, it could have had more finesse and more real "Mexicanness". But it does fill your hungry stomach.

“A filling reasonably priced meal.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

After a few dear nights it was nice to have a meal at the 'Tex Mex'. We both opted for the buffet and tasted of most of the food out. It was as you'd expect 'fast food' to be really. Good value for money. So if funds are running low, a good place to eat.

Atmosphere was nice, service quality was poor taste of the food was ok but it was not like my expactations.Music was at the upper floor, could hear but we were not enjoying,it was coming very weak, could not hear the music.Service was so slow and not professional.Price is reasonable not bed.I ordered Meat Fajitas with a Menu for 30 Euros,I did not like the side dishes it was not so good, they were all mixed.Nachos was good of course the Corona beer was so good.I can not highly recommend this place. But it is in the center very close to the metro De Broucker.Enjoy it.
