“Fresh and tasty fish meal, standing up!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

This was the first place we visited after arriving in Brussels. We were very hungry and this place did not disappoint. We were surprised to learn that it wasn't a traditional restaurant layout: it's more of a counter, under covers, outside what looks like a fish shop. But, no matter, because we easily got a position at the counter and ordered fish soup and croquettes. They arrived in no time and were very tasty. The reviews of Trip advisor were very helpful in this regard and I would echo the recommendation to try this place.

“Needs to be on your list of things to do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We read about Noordzee on TripAdvisor and it sounded really interesting.

This was in fact the first place we visited in Brussels and we are so glad we did, food is fresh and really tasty - the escargot were especially good, as well as the scampi. Wine is very reasonable and we happily had 4 or 5 dishes whilst we watched the world go by.

Service is really friendly and upbeat - they learn your name and will happily talk away and will always make sure they say goodbye. If you're looking for something a little different and can enjoy your seafood, this needs to be on your list of things to do!

“Street food chic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Wat can better than on a Sunday morning than to be the heart of Brussels at a fantastic seafood place, eating fresh fish and drink Champagne while huddled together outside watching the world go by. Street food Belgian style is great, why can't we do this in London? The staff are friendly and are happy to help you if you can't speak French or Flemish while the food is super fresh.

“Seafood street food style”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Tasty, cheap, informal. It is a part of a "poissonerie", so the ingredients are not travelling a long way. Perfect for quick lunch or just six oysters and a glass of white wine. Particularly nice place around lunchtime weekdays - not so crowded. Excellent fish soup!
