Situated in Waterloo, Belgium the large pyramidal mound and lion statute commemorates the famous Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
For 6 Euro, you can climb the 250+ steps to get to the top and see the sweeping views of farm land that was once battlefield. You also get an entrance pass into the panorama -- a 360 degree mural of the battle.
This historical site is easy to find. The pyramid is outside and full of lots of steep steps, so I would avoid it on a rainy day. It's a quick drive from Brussels or surrounding towns, and worth a stop if you're into history and panoramic views of the countryside!
