“Great price, city center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

New modern hostel in the center of Antwerp. Tourist attractions and the festival site 'Nieuw Zuid' only 10-20 minutes walking. Free parking nearby (5min walking) at the 'Plantinkaai'. Friendly people at the reception. Very good price. Decent breakfast. But the rooms were not that great. I liked the concrete/glass style of the building, but it was very noisy during the night. You could hear every sound made in the hallway. Also an unpleasant smell in the shower/bathroom (sweaty), room needed freshness. Overall, good value for money though.

Room Tip: When you're traveling with 4 people, I would advice you to book the 4-bed private room. As the b...

I stayed one night in this hostel in a 6 bedded room. the rooms are spacious. there are small lockers in the room to store you valuable things. Bed is good. the 6-bedded room had an ensuite bathroom and separate toilet (both had a sink). Minus point: there is no shower curtain/door between shower and sink so risk on dirty/wet floor if not careful. Breakfast is ok and staff is friendly.

Clean, comfortable accommodation for a hostel. Safe spot, close to the centre. Delicious rich breakfast. Nice people at the reception. I have heard you might find better deals at the hotels nearby the train station, just mail them. But for me it was a good deal.

I stayed one night in this newly opened place. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean but the floors had some strange, dusty concrete surface that made it hard to keep clean for long. Also you took this dust with you to the dressing and bathroom area. The toilet room was separate from the shower room and had no sink, if shower was occupied you could not wash hands. In the dressing area there were free lockers for everybody. You have to put a coin in deposit but get it back when opening the locker. On ground floor there is a big bar and on -1 level a big dining area were an excellent breakfast was served.

I found the place quite empty though and therefore hard to meet new people but maybe this will be easier after some time when more people find their ways to this new place located in the old town, very close to all attractions and cool places and shops.

The building and everything in it is totally new. It is a really nice place. Staff is really friendly and well organised. They advised me to park the car, free of charges, near the Schelde, walking distance from the hostel.
I booked a bed in the dormitory. The room has lockers where you can stow away your valuables. The bunkbeds are also very new so they do not screech whith every movement. Big windows, from floor to ceiling provide a lot of light. There are very good curtains to ensure that people do not wake when the sun rises. Very nice showers! The breakfast is buffet style, so you can eat as much as you want.
The place is very near the city centre and the river Schelde. Lots of pubs, restaurants and shops around. Although I am not a shopper myself, I guess Antwerpen is a shoppers' paradise! It certainly is a nice place to stay and hit the pubs as I did with my roommates Michael (CAN) and Sean (AUS). Thanks for this experience, mates!
