“Very pleasant brasserie in centre of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

In the old centre of town in a pedestrian area you find this nice, warm place that makes you feel as if in Paris. The menu is truly Parisian brasserie with choucroute, fruits de mer, snails, creme brulee. I personally love the steak tartare with home made frites. French wines are good and good value. Since it is nearly always full, better make a reservation

“Nice ambiance”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

In the core of The Hague, right off Molenstraat, Pastis is a French restaurant with quality dishes. You need to book in advance because it is usually full. The wine list is much longer than the food list. For the food, the choice is limited to nine main entries, which is not very much, but try the "confit de canard", instead of going for the more common dishes such as "steak frites".

“Excellent and charming French bistro in The Hague”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of dining at Pastis. My husband and I love French bistro food and we sampled everything from oysters (Gillardeau of course) to frites in combination with a great wine arrangement. The admosphere is typical French bistro with multiple families, friends and also couples enjoying a special night out. We will be back on our next visit to The Hague!

“Great location terrible food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

Ordered the evening "special" and It couldn't have been more of a disappointment "Poulet au pot' was a white skinned Cornish chicken surrounded by soft overcooked white cauliflower and potato which was later drizzled with au jus, tasteless and extremely salty, no evidence of a herb in sight. The meat was so tough we couldn't cut it. When I pointed this out to the waitress she simply said " this is how it's supposed to be!'. Walked away hungry, would never consider going again!

“Pastis, another fine bistro in the center of The Hague !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

Ab-fab, even the name of the restaurant makes you feel as if in France...very pleasant staff and atmosphere with the right 'noise'....We didn't have a starter unless you call a 'Jus de tomate' and a nice Dutch Genever (very tasty with just one ice cube) that way. The card represents all the famous stuff you liked when you were in Paris. My friend had her self a delicious looking and tasting 'Limande de Sole' and I, since I'm a duck lover 'Le confit de Canard', amazingly crunchy and reddishly fleshy...We had the house wine, we always do because that wine is in our opinion a sort of visiting card from the owner, it was fine!!! The Crème brûllé was the finishing touch.
