Description: Mochi was born out of pure love! Patrick Buyze and Lissette Parra created a concept that intertwined both of their passion for travel and food. The restaurant offers a unique style of community dining serving Japanese-Latin American inspired dishes. The "Chefs Choice Menu" allows room for creativity and variety. With each course, you are served several distinct dishes to share and experience a journey of flavors like our famous Frikandel Speciaal. Aside from the menu there are a few classic items that can be ordered like the Pizza Sashimi, Bonito Waved Tiger Prawns and Hirado Asparagus. This innovative "new style" of cooking was influenced during both of their extensive travels around the world including Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Colombia, Argentina, Brasil and many others which led to this success.

“Wonderfull food surprises”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

You won't believe what you eat and how they prepare the food. It's great, it's different and you'll enjoy it. Even with special food wishes they prepare something nice.

“delicious food beautifully presented”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2012

I had been told that it was a special place, i.e. the food being very good and that the concept was a menue arranged by the chef instead of a la carte. . ., the place is not very big, so I guess it's impossible - at least during the weeked - to eat there without having made a reservation beforehand. . . - being small adds gives the place a comfy athmosphere and in addition staff is very welcoming - so, enjyonig dinner right from the beginning! despite the fact that there's no menue, one can give indications that will be respected, e.g. not wanting any meat, fish or seafead or porc etc. -
I had good time sitting there and waiting for yet another suprise to arrive. . . - the food was delicious, fresh and varied, beautifully presented on earthern plates or bowls - there were quite a couple of unknown vegetables involved but everything got explained patiently by the waiter or waitress, portions are not big but since so many different dishes were brought in the end we hesitated whether or not to go for desser as well - in the end curiosity prevailed and we didn't regret - it was great!
Taken together, definitly, a place to return to!

Mochi was a breath of fresh air. My friends and I are foodies so we eat out alot. This restaurant really surprised us with their amazing creative combinations of asian with latin food. The ambiance is super cozy and the staff super friendly, they rocked it.
