The hotel is boutique with a small number of rooms. The staff are lovely and helpful and the location is excellent. We were in room 107 which could get quite noisy at times. It was frustrating not having a small fridge in the room - especially staying there for a number of days. The restaurants the hotel recommended were excellent and they were always happy to assist with ordering cabs and transport. The rooms and bathroom were a good size and the bed super comfortable.

This hotel is in a lovely central spot. The room was pretty - would have liked a fridge and/or coffee making facilities in the room but these are minor. Staff were always courteous. Highly recommended as a pleasant stay with good value.

We had such a lovely time at the Paleis. Our room, #305, was not the most expensive, but it was well appointed and spacious enough to be very comfortable. We had a great view of the walking street and the old town beyond. The location is excellent with first class restaurants and museums within a few minutes walk. We slept with the windows open and noticed a bit of street noise as the local bars emptied out, but it was noticable only because there was no other noise. If you want a quieter room, request one away from the street or keep your windows closed. Breakfast was fresh with good service; the rolls were especially nice. Offering eggs to order was a nice touch.

The Paleis is tucked away in the Centrum of The Hague - steps away from the Palace, shopping, art galleries, museums, tram lines, and, of course, amazing restaurants.

It is a boutique hotel down a narrow street filled with intimate restaurants, bakeries and street cafes. We fell in love with the hotel starting with the charming foyer, the mini elevator and the well appointed room. The rooms are charming - capturing the charm of Europe with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Our room was on the top floor overlooking the back garden and rooftops. A perfect introduction to our European adventure.

There is always a host at the desk ready to offer restaurants suggestions and information about local shopping and attractions. The tram is only a 10 minute walk away. It will take you to your favourite museum or to the quaint town of Delft (about a 20 minute tram ride).

The Paleis is also steps away from the Embassy district, gardens and outdoor art installations.
The restaurant just across the street called PASTIS offered great food and atmosphere. The second night there we ate at BLAUW on Javastraat 13 - an authentic Indonesian restaurant. Again, an amazing experience. Both restaurants were recommended by the Paleis host. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: As for a top floor near the rear. It is a little more private and quiet.

Had a wonderful refreshing night at the Paleis Hotel in the Hague. Getting there was pretty messy - the streets are pretty much pedestrian streets and the police are pretty militant about it, so I suggest a cab or a wander from the station. Rooms are large, airy, spotless, bed is cosy and there was little noise from outside. Much recommended

When arriving in The Hague, we parked where the hotel recommended us to park. It’s really close to the hotel, not even a 5 min walk.
Check in was really pleasant and the lady at the reception immediately helped us and was very friendly.
We had a superior room, room 106, which was nice, ok size, nice furniture and made you feel like having a room in a real palace, but there was quite some noise from the street. Because the hotel was fully booked they could not give us another room, but the next day the manager indicated we could move to room 306, which was much more quiet. We just had to pack our bags, they did the rest.
I liked the style of the bathrooms too, beds were very good, so were the pillows. Breakfast was just ok, and again here very friendly staff. We had a coffee in the lobby bar which is also nice and cosy.
The location of the hotel is superb, very close to everything, nice restaurants in the neighborhood.
I think the price of the rooms is very reasonable, but it’s the exceptional friendly and helpful staff that makes me want to go back to this hotel.

Hotel and staff was exceptional. Perfect location in the middle of great historic area, restaurants and shopping. Room faced the front......at night we heard much noise from the street but it was not overwhelming. Breakfast was exceptional. Would absolutely stay again.
