“Good food, hotel okay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

We stayed here for 3 nights whiklst on coach trip to Holland. room was okay but thebedside lights were not!! One did not work at all and the other was very wobbly. The pillows are awful - quite hard and dioficult to get comfortable on. It seems this hotel is two hotels in one (the Golden Tuilp and the Tulip Inn) and certainly one was not being used when we were there. The hotel seems to be situated ina residental and office building area (many of the office buildings appear to be vacant). The railway station is just across the way as is the main A12 but you cannot hear anything. The food and the staff seemed very attentive. Our trip included buffet breakfast and serve yourself dinner (although some of the choices seemed a bit odd) but it was all edible. There isn't anything to do in the evening (entertainment wise) but we were too tired anyway. The TV is naturally Dutch TV - there is an English station but the TV was not good so we did not bother. All in all a reasonable hotel.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms do have a balcony. the rest don't seem to have any opening windows. there is...

The room was clean, but small. The outside is very old and worn down looking, but the rooms are newer and clean. They are very small though so don't plan on having a lot of room to move around. It isn't located near any shopping areas so if you have a car you can drive, or else it might be a bit of a walk.

Stayed here on an Easter coach trip. Hotel is situated quite a way out of Amsterdam and about 15 mins walk into the centre of Zoetermeer, but it is next to the railway station.
Room was reasonable size and very clean. Bed was comfortable and there was no noise at night, so we slept well.
Beacause we were in a coach party we had no choice of food, just what was on offer, but having said that the food was very different each night and well presented.Breakfasts were plentiful but if you didn't get there early the hot food was mostly cold as people always seem to leave lids open and there were no heaters underneath.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Service at the bar was quick and prices comparative with bars in the tourist areas of the city.
All in all we had a pleasant stay and would be happy to stop there again if on a similar tour.

The room was quite small (Not big enough for two with baggage) although the bed was OK the TV was a very small old CRT model.
The bathroom needed refurbishing and was not very clean.
The dinner menu was not very good and the food quality no better than average.
Breakfast was at best OK the quality of some of the foodstuffs was questionable.

Friendly, Clean with good size rooms and facilities. Good breakfast and good value. A little isolated as very little around the property. Good base for trips out. Staff very attentive and quick with extra pillows, newspapers etc.

As said stay here for hockey. Right next to train station easy walking to a couple if stores and marketplaces. Hotel is a litte run down but the staff every year takes care of everything you might need. Resturant is good breakfast very good. If you can get a suite or apartment grab it the rooms otherwise are small.

I stayed at the Tulip Inn for a Business trip.
The hotel is pleasant, clean and very well located by the trainline to the Hague.
The room was booked without breakfast and was shocked by the 16€ price tag.
There are no restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel apart its own which I have not tried.
If you wish to go to the town centre, it is a 25 minutes walk.
