“Hotel in The Hague - business”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

This hotel is situated near the World Congress Forum and the ICTY in The Hague - but only 15 minutes' walk from the coast. The hotel is welcoming and professional - a big hotel but with a very friendly atmosphere. The staff are top-level and clients are treated like VIPs. The bedrooms are large and well furnished, and the service is excellent.

The hotel is perfectly situated so that it is easy to enjoy and walk around local part of town during breaks from meetings, and is surrounded by museums and restaurants.

A great experience for a business trip.

Some people complain about the location of this hotel; I am not one of those maybe because I had the luxury of being chauffeured every time I went to the city centre. However I understand that the hotel is located a bit off the town. The trade-off is the hotel is not so far from the beach, and has a wonderful view to the park nearby. It is too surrounded by a nice area with less urban development, so a lot of fresh air just as its name indicates! On top of that, the service including food is great, there are even apples, sometimes other types of fruit, in the hallway.

Lovely stay, accommodating, comfortable and clean, good food with an amazing breakfast buffet. Located close to the seat of government and close to Scheveningen beach attractions. Next door to the Gemeente Museum I have stayed here numerous times and it's always my first choice.

Room Tip: 6th floor have really nice rooms

This bland business hotel could stand some refurbishment and a management upgrade. Standard rooms are smallish and furnished with Formica built-ins and cheap finishes. Ours featured chipped furniture, burnt out light bulbs and burn marks on the carpet. Service is polite but sometimes clueless. The bathroom was barely adequate; electrical outlets and the single 1990-vintage telephone were inadequate. This place is able to charge it's relatively high prices thanks to the steady flow of business people attending conventions at the World Forum center down the street. One plus is that the excellent Municipal Museum is just around the corner.

Although this hotel is not ideally located near major attractions, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The room is nice and breakfast was tasty. I remember that the area around the hotel is where most embassies are located. It's a leafy suburb and very tranquil.

I just stayed here for one night before going to Brussels. Definitely one of the better hotels during my 2 weeks vacation in Europe

Hotel is an average business hotel.

Rooms are OK, need some modernization though.. no convenient plugs next to the bed, and the mattresses were very well used - one in the room was so soft as to be uncomfortable, the other was acceptable. The TV came on in the middle of the night, no idea why.

Staff were not that attentive either.

Convenient for conference center though.

Stayed here for the kids- and youthmarketing congress. I would not rate this hotel as 4 stars. The overall decor really is outdated and the rooms (especially the bathroom!) did not justify the price. I expect much more for the price paid. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special. If you're looking for a good hotel in The Hague, try the Hilton... Rates may be a little higher, but it's worth the (little) extra money!
