I have stayed in this hotel many times and I really like it. Rooms small but modern and comfortable. Lounge and bar area is great. Best of all this hotel in very central for shops and sight of the city. It is an easy 10 minute walk from train station with trams just outside so getting to the beach or Delft is easy. Now they have pedestrianised the street it is also much quieter. Not the cheapest but I consider it good value and will be staying there again.

I booked the junior suite together with 2 other colleagues for a period of 9 nights. The room was pretty spacious for 3 persons with enough space for our luggages and walking room. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast table has a good selection of breads, cheese and ham. We especially liked the pancakes and croissants. The hotel is also conveniently situated, near supermarkets, nice restaurants and tram stops.

Only issue we have is that the toilet and the shower room in the hotel are in different rooms and the toilet has no washing basin. So you have to wait for your roommate to come out of the toilet, washed hand then you can use the shower. Our room was also hot and stuffy as the temperature control knob was not working, although we have set it at 20 degree C. The hotel staff initially did not believe us but still gave us the fan we requested. The fan was very noisy but at least it provided the ventilation and coolness we needed. Overall, it was a good experience staying at the hotel. Will stay there again.

We always select the Novotel for a family city break as it offers very good deal for 2 adults and 2 children, including full buffet breakfast.

About 30 mn by train from Shiphol airport (8.10 euros adult one way / 3 euros child (up to 11 yrs old)).

The Hotel is located 10 mn walk from the City centre station (taxi would cost 6-10 euros depending on seat number) but easy walk even with a short trolley case via main pedestrian road, adjacent to a posh shopping gallery.
Basically find the famous Mauritshouse (presently closed until 2014) or Parliament and it is 3 mn walk from there. The tram is probably 1 or 2 stops only from that particular Den Haag Central station (tram is 2.50 euros per 30 mn journey and can be bought directly with the driver ) - for longer stay , a stamping card is 7 euros to buy and then top up would make tram cheaper at 1 euro per journey.
Breakfast buffet was very good as expected and replenished when necessary. Although it could do with more labelling of the cold juices/drinks (my son thought it was milk and then found out it was yoghurt drink) for his breakfast. Also , my eldest found the glasses too small (ie like a canteen glass size for children) - whilst I found the coffee/tea cups too small - (I also do not like the self service machines for hot drinks but that is just personal).
Service at reception, bedroom cleaning and breakfast were impeccable and friendly.
I really love the setting of the bar/breakfast room on the ground floor .
We were really disappointed by the main bed. It was similar to a metal framed sofa bed , one would sit on the edge and the top end would lift gently - That was the greatest disappointment which we clearly pointed out to reception. For a hotel, that is a real let down. Luckily we were so busy visiting and walking everywhere, we were fairly tired by the time we returned to the hotel and slept like logs !!!
Plenty coffee shops and restaurants around and in the squares .
