I was on a business trip and mostly interested in a quiet, clean base for sleeping, therefore the Badhotel was such a good surprise.
Location was ideal for my needs and schedule, both for enjoying the beach clubs, attractions, restaurants, World Forum, etc. in Scheveningen and for reaching The Hague's centre or convention locations.
Walk or cycle as far as you like in safety, or hop on the very convenient tram n.1 outside the hotel's front door (buy tickets from Reception or ticket machines in advance: they're cheaper than buying them on board).
Service was competent and genuinely friendly throughout, from the front desk to housekeeping staff. I found the consistency and pleasant manners very pleasing.
The decor is fitting for a 3* seaside hotel.
Rooms are sufficiently well appointed, tidy and all is in good working order.
As they can be a little small, they won't suit people who like to travel with lots of luggage or who feel the need to spend a lot of time in their room.
Noise levels might be an issue for sensitive travellers, as the walls are somewhat thin. Easily fixed with earplugs and a little consideration to/from fellow guests, though. Also, since at the time of my stay the hotel seemed to cater to mature or business travellers, ambient noise was minimal.
To me, the best thing about the whole experience was the bed. Stellar, exceptionally comfortable: I cherish the little sleep I can get and I was very, very happy to get three full nights of *perfect* sleep.
I didn't try the restaurant or have breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment on food services, but I am very keen to return for a holiday with my spouse.
