The building itself made quite an impression before we even got inside and viewed the collection! It is set in large grounds with good car and bike parking. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. Visitors begin the self-guided tour on the second floor, and the exhibition is in chronological order starting with early horse-drawn carriages, progressing to steam and then petrol vehicles. One section is divided into different decades through the twentieth century, and there are specialist sections, e.g. racing cars and American Cadillacs. Look out for the Aston Martin that Sean Connery drove in Goldfinger! All exhibits have full descriptions in Dutch and English. On the ground floor of the museum you can walk through an authentic-looking old fashioned 'street' which opens into a restaurant area. Our only regret was not allowing enough time to explore this fascinating museum. We would allow three hours next time.
