“Great fun for the kids and in that way very enjoyable for the parents”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

We did not expect much but got a lot. When we arrived it started to rain. As all miniatures are outside we went for something to drink and barricaded ourselves for more than half an hour. Be sure to choose this option the moment it starts to rain as the cafetaria is quite quick crowded. After this rain shower we took well over 2 hours for our visit. You get a key card at the enterance and with these you can look at a lot of fun videos where miniature people explain parts of the history and activities in the Netherlands that you see on display. There are also a lot of interactive attractions where you can operate locks, fly a plain,...
The Dutch don't lack confidence and that is more than once clear in the videos. It's a real declaration of love to their own country.

“Too cute - wish we had had more time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

We visited here as part of a Grand Tour of Holland from Amsterdam. Really wish we had had more than the hour we were allotted. Not only the children, but the adults loved it too. We were provided swipe cards and maps at the beginning of our visit. We could swipe the card at kiosks thought the visit for additional information on the exhibits. After the first swipe, our preferred language was remembered. The kids enjoyed playing with the exhibits - for example the fire fighting, the canals and locks, the dam. The buildings are amazing and it was great to see most of the Netherlands in one location - even Schipol Airport with all of the International airplanes. Would love to return for a longer visit. If we had had time, there was also two cafes, a gift shop, a picnic area, and a large playground.

“Great tour of the Netherlands!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Went here as part of a small group and spent a good few hours wandering around and checking out the sights.

Entrance was not cheap but it was worth it - the only thing we missed is with every ticket you are meant to get a plastic card which is RFID and lets you access further detail on interactive screens and games around the park - for some reason we didn't get these and didn't realise we needed them until we were wandering around, so worth checking you get these.

I was an English speaking member of a Dutch group so they had maps to cater for various languages and also the interactive screens were in at least Dutch and English.

The attraction itself was really good, it's a mini tour of some of the major cities and attractions of the NL which was nice to see. They are very detailed and very large models.

The only downside was that some things required 10cents to make the motors run on certain things but was worth putting the change in. There are also some things that are 1euro but these put on a little show and you get something to keep at the end :D

We really enjoyed it and I would go back definitely and would recommend to people.

“Adorable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

I am so glad we did this on our own, if I listen to the reviews of people who did it as part of a tour. We spent like almost 3 hours there and enjoyed all the interactive gadgets. I felt like a child again.

“Charming (if somehow overrated).”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

This is a charming attraction - especially for kinds (but not only for them).
It includes miniature models of numerous sites in The Netherlands (and elsewhere).
The models are pretty precise (the scale is 1:25, if I remember correctly) and walking in the Dutch miniature streets makes you feel like a giant.
Make sure you choose a sunny day for this, as a rainy day would ruin your visit.
