“very good, just”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Location was hard to find, but convenient once found. Reception was pleasant, staff friendly throughout our stay. Roo was nice with a very good bed!The spa was just a little small and unfortunately the steam cabin was out of order. Breakfast was good (comparable to a small Hiltonbreakfast...). All in all a nice trip, overaal quality just a little uinder 5 stars....

This place is definitely worth a stay, fantastic state-of-the-art rooms, friendly staff and a high-quality restaurant in an adjacent building. Only minus: it may be easy to reach by public transport or by car, but for my liking the surroundings are a bit too "industrial".

This property is presented as a country house hotel, however it is surrounded by office buildings main roads and a flyover - With the entrance off a large roundabout this makes it very difficult to find when you look for a country house! But once inside it is as tranquil as you would expect, and everything is as it should be. The staff are freindly and efficient, and there is a welcome platter for your suite. The spa facilities are smaller than expected but this gave an impression of exclusivity although the indoor saunas are smaller than the one I have at home. The restaurant is superb and the wine list extensive, although it was dissapointing that some listings were not available.

Overall it was a high quality experience and worth the effort to find somewhere just a little different.

Room Tip: Our room was at the rear of the property but it seems far enough back from the road for noise not to...

This is a nice hotel and I regret that I did not have time to explore the spa features of the accommodation. My room (at the front) was good, providing ample space with a large comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi, desk and modern fittings (A note here: the good quality fittings in the bathroom etc had not always been installed with the greatest precision). An interesting feature of the design is that the TV is located in the foot of the bed. The room’s location meant that sounds of people outside travelled through the windows and things dropped on the floor above, and people going about their business in the hotel, could sometimes be heard. The bath & shower were good but older guests note that stepping over and into the bath could be more difficult than normal but they may appreciate the higher than normal toilet seat! Everything was there in the bathroom, including flannels.
The restaurant (adjacent building) provided an excellent evening meal. The homemade soup in particular which I sampled was excellent and poached cod cooked to perfection. Breakfast is able to provide freshly squeezed oranges from a machine. All in all this is a good place to stay. The reception staff in particular are very attentive, helpful & friendly. My room had an espresso making coffee machine - excellent!

My favourite hotel of all time.
As a business hotel, it's convenient for The Hague and Rijswijk, and also Rotterdam if you have a car.
As a leisure getaway, particularly for couples, it's an oasis of calm with great spa facilities and historic Delft just around the corner. I stayed there with my wife recently and she felt thoroughly rejuvenated after a couple of nights.
It's small, but beautifully formed.
The restaurant is wonderful and could easily bag a Michelin star, the wine list is excellent and the facilities are great all round - for example heated floor AND MIRROR in the bathroom - warm feet and no struggling to see your face after your shower.
But the real delight is the people. From Patrick the owner to the FOH staff - Michel, Denise and Annemarie - to the bar run by Cyril - to the wonderful restaurant, they are friendly, helpful and generous.
A total gem, We'll go back to the Netherlands just to stay at this hotel for a few days.

Room Tip: If you are a smoker, go for the first floor rooms with balcony :-)
