Dayang was a great find in Den Haag, simple yet authentic as one would find in a "warung" in Indonesia. The restaurant was a take-out with five small tables for 3 parties (2 sets of tables for 4 and one for 2 person), so expected to wait during dinner time. Most local customers ordered take-outs and the service was fast, efficient and courteous. They served all popular dishes such as daging rendang, satay ayam, kari ayam, ayam pedas, sambal kacang, and options of white, yellow, or fried rice or bami noodles. The food was authentic and delicious and the price was very good for the portion. Portions were decent depending on what was ordered. Dishes were mostly under 8 Euros and combination plates were around 12 Euros depending on the combination. It also offered "rice table" for 31 Euro for 2 person and usually more than enough to feed 2 person. Great clean but simple place to have a good meal but not paying the extras for atmosphere and decor. Please note it only accept cash.
Overheard the owners mentioned there would be a new location opening soon. Hope it would be just as good and popular. Truly a great find for travelers.
