“A hidden gem on the Maas river”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Superficially, the restaurant looks like a vegetable shop, as they exhibit a choice of their vegetables at the entry. But you may order the vegetables in a cooked form as well, and a lot more than that. Inside, the restaurant has 2 floors - the ground floor for the day-to-day activities, the upper floor suitable for private parties. Cooking is Mediterranean style and very good; a limited but highly appropriate choice of wines is available; many of them are placed on cupboards and serve to add to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was impeccable!

“good quality for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Based on advice from other tripadvisor reviewers from Rotterdam, we decided to combine a museum visit with lunch at this place.
One of us has specific requirements (salt poor diet) which we were promised on the phone would be taken into account and they certainly helped us make the right choice.
We were held up in traffic; when we called in it was no problem. A major difficulty was parking the car in the vicinity: no room around for 200 metres and you need a local prepaid card. The restaurant manager helped me by using his own card to withdraw the parking receipt.
The food was great, although the choice was limited. Same about the wine: they don't have a wine list but instead the lady sommelier had a few good suggestions and we were happy with the eventual choice.

All in all a very enjoyable experience, with the only drawback that we are accustomed in Belgium to more menu choices and to choosing from a wine list.

If you can live with that, certainly a place to recommend. Moreover, I thought paying 190 Euro for 4 adults for a full menu plus wine plus coffee was value for money.

“Great food in a relaxed atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2012

This is a very relaxed restaurant in the evening and a very nice cafe and traiteur during the day tme. They sell a wide range of wines and take away disches and you can sit down either inside in the relaxed atmosphere or when weather allows it, sit outisde on the cosy terrace to have lunch/brunch. In the evening they serve great disches for a reasonable price and the menu changes monthly.
