“Dim Sum Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Asian Glories Restaurant in downtown Rotterdam is better known to regular lovers of food as "Jenny" which is also the name of the Malaysian born owner. Anyone who ever walk through the door of "Jenny" would instantly fall for her charms and hospitality in making one directly feel like home. If her charms and hospitality won't hit you, it is her husband, Popo and son, Kevin collaboration in the kitchen which is just magical. The dim sum freshly made every day would be experience as an angel pissing on your tongue! Don't take my word for it but try it for yourself when you ever get hungry or just looking for something tasty in downtown Rotterdam, Jenny just don't disappoint.

“Very Good Dim Sum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

I ate here last night and the dim sum were very good as was the hot and sour soup. The restaurant was packed so I had to wait for a table but the service was excellent and the ambiance very attractive to the extent that the two Dutch men at the next door table gave me a glass of wine. It is not cheap at Euros 30 for three dishes but the quality is right for the price

“Delicate food but you need to dress warm and pay more...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

This is a bit upscale Chinese restaurant, with a bit more delicate dishes in smaller portion with higher prices. We had 3-course surprise menu, which turned out to be a pleasant experience. The first course contained 3 pieces of steamed dim sum. They were wrapped in their trademark thin and transparent dim sum skin. The second course was Peking duck with crispy duck skin and non-greesy duck meat, nicely wrapped in fine pancakes by the waitress. The last course was a trio with vegetable, sweet-sour pork and steamed fish. The fish was very tender and refreshingly tasty.

Minus-points: Personally I find everything a bit overly charged. The house wine is 5.5 euros per glass (a lot more than what's indicated on Iens.nl). The door can't be closed easily such that cold wind came in all the time.

“Best Asian (Chinees) Restaurant in Rotterdam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

The restaurant in the city center looks pretty average, but they serve great authentic Chinees haute cuisine food!
Try the coquille (scallops) with glass noodles, duck with foie gras, the peking duck.
You could also order a testing menue which serves it all.

It's realy fantastic food, but it comes with a price. Count on spending €50,- for a complete meal with drinks.

“In Rotterdam centre, surprise menu recommended”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Our experience with this restaurant was good; the food was better than at any other place in Rotterdam. I would recommend the surprise menu at €30 per person. On their recommendation, we had South-African Boschendal SMV which went good with the meal, although it was rather pricey at €5,50 per glass. The place is a little bit crowded and was noisy, but it must have been the Christmas time. Would come back again.
