We booked and fully paid a room here a month n advance, our train was delayed getting in to Rotterdam so only got to the hotel at about 9.30pm. Didn't think this would be a problem as we had it PAID IN FULL. But no, we hauld all our luggage up their TINY NARROW EXTREMELY STEEP staircase to be told by the girl eating chips beind the counter that they gave our room away cos we didnt get there in time!? Her english wasn't great but her attitude wasn't helping the situation. It was Jazz Festival weekend so obviously impossible to find a new hotel. She reluctantly let us use her slow internet and phne to try to book a new hotel, but couldn't even help us dial the numbers ( we didnt know how many numbers were needed for a local number, and coulnt wrk out the dutch phone message when we did it wrong) THen when we left about an hour hlater she gave us bogus information for a train back to down town ( hotel is in a bit of a sketchy neighbourhood aswell) so we ended up travelling on the wrong tram 4 times, absolute nightmare, finally found a differnt hotel at 1.30 in the morning. The lady at Benelux had assured us we would get our money back, but it took 5 months and many emails and phone calls and much further frustration. Never again. Stay away.
