“What an experience,What a view,What a service ! ! !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

If you are looking for an excellent hotel, then this is it!!! We stayed in the junior suite and had a great view towards the Erasmus bridge. The suite has one room. When you come into the suite you walk through the hallway, into the room with a table with two chairs (where you can eat breakfast or dinner...), a flatscreen tv, there is a door to the bathroom with bubble bath and an extra separate shower (quite big) AND of course a private sauna ! ! ! . when you walk into the room there is a big comfortable hastings bed with 4 pillows, a huge desk with a big chair, where you can sit and work, coffeemaker, kettle for thee, and a minibar and of course THE MOST BREATHTAKING VIEW....
The suite is very spacious and comfortable. The room is cleaned extremely well by housekeeping and is quite (no noise from the outside). The swimming pool is a must ! !
The staff are friendly, professional and warm, and are very helpful.
The hotel is big and all areas are warm and homely. The fitness area is great and also has a sauna and steam room WITH A VIEW,ITA ON THE 8TH FLOOR ! ! !
This hotel comes highly recommended!!!

Kamertip: The junior suite is excellent, but the other rooms in the hotel are also very nice!

Room Tip: All rooms are recommended

The relative small room size is well compenstated with a fantastic view.
I had a very good time in my long stay at the hotel, due to the kindness and professionality of all the staff.
Spa, Service and the food eccellent, breakfest almost oustanding quality.
No more to say that I will consider this hotel my destination whenever in Rotterdam in the future,
and recomend it at any occasion.

Positive things would include the nice location by the water and the nice bridge Erasmusbrug. Furthermore the nice bar "Water" at the lobby level. Reception (to the left of the entrance) is small and basically nothing for sale. Service is ok, on the slight positive side. In addition the "spa" department (included in the price) is acceptable with a steam ("turkish"?) and a traditional (not Finnish though as they are hot ;-) sauna, a pool and a relax area with a few chairs.

On the slight negative side is the hotel itself, although clean it is on the dark side and boring. The rooms are the same, clean and functional but absolutely nothing extra. And I guess that's fine if that is your expectations and needs.

Would I go there again with friends (on a fishing trip) where the hotel is only a place to stay at an accpetable price? Why not! Would I go there with my wife on a romantic weekend? No, no, never!

The hotel sells itself from what I perceived as a boutique-style, modern 4 star hotel which given the price per night (even with local corporate discount) still was the plus side of 100 euros. However, in reality you will not find much more here than a Holiday Inn Express or Novatel offering. The room was sparse and felt more US Motel than Euro city centre hotel. The fixtures and fittings were functional but you did feel like a prisoner rather than guest given the austere and featureless decor. In particular, I was very disappointed to be disturbed at 8am by drilling in the building which made it difficult to work or sleep.

However, it was clean, the food was good but again at a very steep price. Could not believe 18 euros for breakfast! I regularly stay in city centre hotels in Paris and Budapest and can get a room in a 5 star hotel for less than this with all the comfort and trimmings and breakfast included. I cannot believe Rotterdam Centre demands this level of premium.

If you get a good leisure offer, you will not find a better location for exploring Rotterdam. If you are passing through on business, I'm sure that there is far better and cheaper ways of spending the corporate buck.

Second time to stay in this hotel and overall the hotel is ok but like most hotels in this part of the world over priced for what you get. This time I stayed in a city view room (the cheapest) and found it to be more akin to a cell. The room was small and devoid of furniture save for a small side chair, no headboard on the bed and very dull bathroom. No tea / coffee. No CNN / BBC world on the TV. No curtains just blinds and very small. Anyway the breakfast is still good and the public areas of the hotel are nice but the room simply wasn't worth the price and I was glad I wasn't paying for it myself. Hard to believe a hotel can call itself four star when basic amenities are missing. Although it wasn't a bad stay, next time I am in Rotterdam I will look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Avoid city view rooms if you are expecting a four star hotel

Dear Guest Duncinmanila,

First of all I would like to thank you for expressing your comments on your stay. This gives us the importunity to improve our product. It would even have been better for both of us if we could have met during your stay as I believe that our Design Panorama rooms would have better suited your expectations.
Inntel Hotels is opening the new 5 star hotel MAINPORT next to our current 4 star hotel.
For a future stay I hope you will visit this new hotel as it's facilities together with the 5 star service will impress you and I look forward receiving a more positive review on Tripadvisor!

Kind regards,

I have just returned from a short visit to Rtterdam and stayed at the Inntel Hotel in Rotterdam. This is the fifth time that I have stayed at this hotel which was formerly The Golden Tulip.

The room was fantastic on the 14 flour overlooking the Maas river and the city cental area. I must atmit that at the prce of the room I was expecting something really special, I certainly got very good value for money as the room ad all its fittings surpased by expectations, fantastc.

The food in the the restraunts, I tried both while there, was first rate with superb friendly service. Te hotel is superby situated ver close to the Erasmus bridge and being on the river side gives excellent access to the water taxis with tram and metro links vertually outside the hotel.

The reservation staff could not do enough for us, I recommend this hotel to aybody thinking of going o Rotterdam and wishes to stay in a good, quality, 4 star hotel.

Thank you to all the staf at the Intel Hotel Rotterdam.

Room Tip: We chose a River view room cost a lot more than normal, but was worth every penny.

Stayed here for a short 2 day stay in Rotterdam would highly recommend spending the extra for a panoramic room, the view of the city was amazing at night.the rooms were very clean and the staff very helpful and added an extra night at the same offer price. All in all a very nice stay, will be back in the future.
