We stayed for 3 nights with a large panorama room on the 12th floor overlooking the river. We could not fault the service, the room or the food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff from bringing a missing bathrobe, to booking the pancake boat and giving directions. They even stored our luggage for the day until it was time to leave for our evening flight to the UK. Would return tomorrow if we could.

A super location with the Metro and a tram stop right outside the hotel. The "town" is about 10 mins (walking) but there are plenty of cafe bars within 5 mins seemingly around the theatre area.

The reception staff were very helpful and the free wifi in reception kept my 12 year old son occupied. Our room was not ready upon arrival but we were served a complimentary beer whilst waiting!!

The room was adequate but on the small side overlooking the river on the side/rear of the hotel. As such, we did not experience any noise at night despite several Liverpool fans in occupancy because it was the Port of Rotterdham tournament.

Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of options both hot and cold. The bar area was very comfortable with plenty of space. After the match we had a bar snack one evening and this was very nice and better than expected although it was not cheap.

Overall a very enjoyable 3 day stay and we would return to this hotel again.

PS - the hotel is only about 4 tram stops from the football stadium and trams are plentiful from right outside the hotel. They stop right outside the stadium were you can enjoy a MacDonalds if you so wish................

I spent 3 nights at Golden Tulip while attending to the awesome JVC North Sea Jazz Fest. 2007 in Rotterdam. The hotel building is a (black and) nice piece of contemporary architecture, located on the waterfront near Erasmus bridge. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff is professional, breakfast is very good, with a wide choice of food and from early to late morning. Of course room rates are not cheap, but this hotel's worth the money.

This was definitely value for money. The rooms were tidy, staff were helpful and friendly and everything was in good condition. The only things that were a bit disappointing were the noise from outside and the fact that the room is really warm.
