On arrival, I was blown away by this hotel, the helpful staff and our cutting edge room on the 21st floor with the most incredible view. Unfortunately, the good was quickly replaced by the bad. Yes, it is a brand new hotel (I think it has only been open for 8 days) but they have serious teething problems. The wifi was intermittent, the remote control for the television wasn't working and we had a couple enter our room as we were getting ready to go out. I think it is important to anyone who isn't 100% comfortable with being naked in front of their partner, that the divide between the bathroom and the bed is only partially obscured glass. I have been married for 17 years, so found watching my husband shower whilst I lie in bed, amusing. Check out is at 1pm (which is great if you have been partying the night before) but your keycard expires at 11am, which means if you have been to breakfast, you can't get back into your room. Okay, and while typing about breakfast, there wasn't any, they cancelled it. It wasn't funny. We had been for a 'walking dinner' the night before and only eaten a few small plates. We arrived at breakfast 35 minutes before it ended at midday to be told that breakfast had finished due to a large lunch booking. We were initially offered nothing, they had even run down the coffee machine so it only pumped out foam. Fortunately, my husband and another Dutch couple complained and an hour later, we were given a small breakfast buffet.I am sure that things will get fixed at this hotel but for now, I wont be returning.
