“Location, food, staff... Quarter du Port had everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

Fantastic meal here with friends while visiting Rotterdam. I love this restaurant... It is really nicely designed with high ceilings and lots of light. The food is really great... I had asparagus to start, followed by the best duck I have event had. Tip is to check out the daily special. Highly recommend. A drink at the bar a great way to start...

“An unexpected gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

I was part of a group in the private room of this restaurant on a Friday night. Not quite sure to expect as the hotel looks quirky, we were seated very efficiently and made comfortable with drinks etc. The waiting staff were knowledgeable and catered for every dietary requirement. The food quality was simply excellent: straightforward but very well executed from what seemed very fresh ingredients accompanied by really good and again simple wines. Nearly but not quite tempted by the veal tartare-instead mushroom ravioli, steak & etc was all just right. Stylish but not pretentious, definitely worth a repeat visit.

“Fantastic food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Again we had a wonderful evening in the Restaurant at Hotel Quartier du Port in Rotterdam. The food here is just delicious and the menu price for a 3 course menu is EUR 32.50.- drinks not included. This is well spent money as the quality of the food is very high, the service is great and the atmosphere is not stiff. I really recomend this to everyone who is in Rotterdam, and i will definetly be visiting regularly.

“Fantastic restaurant with a kitchen-classic atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

The first thing you see is that the restaurant (part of a very quaint independent hotel) is located in an up-and-coming area of Rotterdam. The restaurant is walking distance from some of the trendiest spots but is a great place for a quiet retreat due to the restaurant being in the back of the building attached to their private courtyard.

The food quality is excellent. Prices are fair for what you get. Its like an unpretentious michelin level restaurant run by people passionate about food. Downstairs (past the main kitchen) they even have an entire location dedicated to a private cooking school.

They have a fine selection of whiskys for every taste (mild to super-peaty) that are a great finish to a mean.

Service is good (excellent by Dutch standards) and reasonably attentive. Staying late wasn't a problem despite them closing 1/2 hour before we left.

Overall a great experience.
