2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Stayed for 3 weeks (for work purposes). Hotel was chosen by employer.
Agree with most of the previous comments. The hotel is purpose built to provide
basic accommodation to people working within the Eurport docks area.
Room was small but did have TV. Carpet pretty threadbare and heavily stained but very comfortable/soft bed. As previously commented on by other contributors, the hotel is built beside a very busy road and railway. When freight trains went past early in the morning the whole building trembled and as room was very warm opening the window let in all the traffic noise so had to balance a comfortable (temperature wise) sleep with the inconvenience of waking up due to noise. No coffee making facilities. Toilet was clean and shower was hot and powerful. Small complimemtary size soap only provided about every third day and none on several occasions, had to request from reception. Receptionists during my stay were alll very polite, pleasant and helpful. Meals were excellent throughout the stay, both breakfast and three course evening meals. Hotel is well away from any kind of entertainment so would not rate as suitable for families or holiday purposes. Okay if you have business in the area and just want to get back to hotel, eat and sleep, but there are other hotels in the area closer to more amenities.

Room Tip: Furthest away from the road and railtrack!

It is average range hotel. The reason why I stay there - it is singular hotel located near to Europort.
There is no water, coffee to drink in the room. Around the hotel there is absolutely nothing interesting. It is a Hotel and only for businees those related with the Europort.
The Breakfast and meals are very good. Yuo can have a meal in morning, noon and evening. The hotel staff is very helpful and polite. You can have free internet by WiFi in your room, lobby and restaraunt.
As it is singular hotel at Europort area - it always full and you need boking room in advance for all period what you planning make business at Europort.

I have never been in more dirty hotel room before in my life. This was incredible view: upon entering room first noted was a big black stain of approx 30cm2 on light carpet. Curtains dirty, one window that you can open was almost falling apart. Each time train passes entire room shakes like waterbed. Restaurant; if you want to eat food from menu, not daily disch than you are forced to order 3 course menu otherwise no go? However food was really very good both evening that I stayed there but also quite expensive.

on arrival, reception was very helpfull, but things went down hill when they realised we were contractors, waitress was not helpfull in serving food, bar manager was rude too, asked for a coke with ice, to be told , it was cold already, then put ice with his hand, very un hygenic,
training would be a good idea, to all , as we are english, but deserve, a bit of respect, as we were asked over by a duch co, to carry out work, that they could not do themselfs,
remember although, we are contractors, we make up most occupancy,
so please treat, all with, respect, wherever we come from,
again you asked us to bring our skills over. ( just so say recieption staff were very helpfull. )

From the outside the hotel looks dated and rundown, but once inside is better.
The rooms are very small and have basic furniture and shower room, but are clean and in good condition. There is free broadband in the room and the TV has a range of different language channels. Though a little noisy at night - right next to a major road and a train line.
The downstairs is nice enough, food is OK, and the staff are pleasant.
Being in the middle of an industrial area, I doubt anyone would stay on holiday, but for a night or two on business for nearby sites, it's good enough.
