“Great location - Rotterdam city centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

Recently stayed two nights at this hotel. Friendly service, pretty standard but well appointed room with high speed data and satellite TV. The hotel restaurant offers a good breakfast buffet and a basic menu at other times. There is however a truly great Italian restaurant "Opazzo" on the corner less than 100m away! In general the location doesn't come much better than this if you want to in walking distance from the city centre of Rotterdam and I will definitely be happy to stay here again when I'm going back.

Room Tip: I stayed to the back which was definitely quiet - even with the window open

It was my third stay at this hotel. We think that the overall of the hotel quality is coming down:
- I paid same price, but this time breakfast was not included.
- The room was a noisy in the evening if I was to open the window.
- The room was careless in some aspects: the carpet was very old; some elements of the bathroom were broken.
- On the contrary, service pesonnel was very kind and helpful.
The best for this hotel is its location.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are noisy.

A good size room with good bed, good airconditioning, safe and updated bathroom but the rooms are very tired and the 2 chairs in the room were very shabby! There is no tea selection in the room for tea drinkers but the 24 hrs free wifi in the room is a good speed. The hotel is 10 minutes from the waterfront but a good 1/2 hour walk to the main part of the harbour and historic part of Rotterdam. There are a couple of takeway shops and restaurants 5 - 10 minutes walk away. The staff were friendly but not very knowledgable on tourism apart from giving us some brochures when we checked in. We wanted to go to the Kinderdijk and had to use our free internet to reseach how to get there. The breakfast had a good selection. If looking at staying in Rotterdam I will recommend a hotel closer to the action.

The location is perfect and in few steps you're in the very heart of Rotterdam. Rooms are clean and sunny, the bathroom was big enough and the staff very polite and helpful. Also it's easy to find a parking close to the hotel. Recommended mostly for a business trip rather than a romantic escape ;)

Stayed there for 6 nights for business purpose, tired of the same buffett breakfast every morning. Would appreciate if they could change the menue every three days. Was given a room smell of cigrattes initially but requested for a change. The room was spacious but the housekeeping needs some improvement, not very clean after their service. Reception was not so friendly.

We stayed here in March 2011 for 2 nights. Travelling on a budget, the Eden Savoy had one of the largest rooms at similar rates. The service at the hotel was great, the room very comfortable & the location is unbeatable.
I especially loved the lift!
