Nice and a bit quaint. 'Refurbished' old rooms and matching old floors, tastily and modern done up in white and with new bathrooms. Fantastic beds! Free coffee and tea in room. Location close to lots of cafés and restaurants. Difficult to find parking space for car near by. Will stay there again.

It coud boast its central location but the price is that there is no car park, and don't even try to pay the fee from the impractical, dutch only, cash only park meters... (but the fine is 56€!). Bath room is basic with shower pouring on the floor as there is no basin. Rooms are very small, hardly space around the bed, probably the reason why they did not bring the complimentary bed for our 3-year old toddler mentionned in the advertisement, even though we asked twice for it... And the breakfast buffet is far from international standards, not even vegetables to eat with your broiled eggs...

Location good, 100 metres from one of main shopping streets, but you get what you pay for-average room, clean and warm but could benefit from chest of drawers for more storage. The rooms at the back of the hotel face a brick wall. There is a church opposite the front and the bell rings on the hour and half past -all night . Staff very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast good, evening meal OK and good value but only 2 choices offered.

pleasant location, friendly service, easy to get to main places in Leiden. The hotel itself has some character - but rooms need redecoration/refurbishment and have a slight damp smell. town clock bell (or church, not sure) sounded every hour through the night.

Really liked this hotel, central for Leiden but on quite side street. Have no idea re' other reviews as no sign of any noise or nightclub. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the lobby was dark and cold and needed brightening up. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Had adjoining room so great for families. We have booked to stay again this weekend so a telling tale I think.
