“Sunny evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

What a fantastic place for a sunny evening! Relaxing couches to drink a glass of wine before dinner and see the boats go by. Food is very good too!

“Excuse me garcon- Are you aving a laugh?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

The potential here is so amazing. The decor, location are ideal for that special evening. The tastes that they produce are really worth savouring and the information they give you fascinating. I love trying dishes that are completely new to me. The various wines with each course are impressive and quite an education.Lovely people and excellent service but all this disappears into a black hole when you are confronted with the size of the portions.
Is it a fine dining wonder or are they simple taking you for a ride? The atmosphere encourages food worship so it was with trepidation that I pointed out that there wasn't enough fish to taste the selection of sauces designed to go with it (was this a vulgar thing to do?). My daughter's egg ravioli (to comply with her vegetarian status) was sheets of pasta with an egg on top (lol as they say).
If it didn't cost several limbs and a second mortgage it would be comical.
Great potential-great shame.

“Too pretentious....not professional”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

The restaurant has a top location, but the food and service are not at the same level.
The most annoying was that the menu did not mention an ingredient, which was thoroughly avoided, for intolerance reasons. Once served, the problem has been reported to the serving staff. Not only the waiter did not propose a change, but did not even apologize, which is very unprofessional for a restaurant that pretends to be haute and sophisticated cuisine! Only the prices comply with that definition (almost 50 Eur for 1 fish fillet is rather out of proportion). The quality of the main dish was good, while the dessert was tasteless.
A pity for such a location!

“Fabulous location, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

You cannot beat the views on the waterfront, but the food was just ok. Not much more than ok. Although they absolutely present the courses looking as haute cuisine, sometimes it looks better than it in reality tasts. I mean, the fish tasted like fried fish but thepresentation made it look nicer. We had the 5 courses arrangement with the 5 glasses of wine arrangement. The wine is mostly watery, not full of character. But as it is not the most expensive of restaurants, the balance between taste and price is ok. Nothing special, great views.

“Very good food, very friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

If you like small, but delicious bites rather than hugue portions, I recommend that you try Woods. But if you are hungry and in for a big meal, go somewhere else. Service is very good. The waiter is flexible and really tries to please you.
Unfortunately, it was not crowded at all, when we had dinner at Woods.
