“Almost to posh to be called a b&b...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Superb bed, lovely pillows. Great bathtub, towels and nice smelling bathbubbles and showercream. A bit of lux in the b&b-world. Lovely! Also excellent location and very nice balcony, and a big plus for complementary coffe and tea. Didnt try the breakfast as we used the kitchen fasilities and made our own. Recommended!

It appears that many B&B's are opting to offer only an expensive breakfast (12.5 euros per person). This places the onus on the traveler to find and procure a cheaper breakfast. To its credit, this B&B did offer a fully-equipped kitchen to be shared with the other guests. Hence, procuring your own food and preparing it was possible. The location was quiet, yet, central. The room had a modern bath. It also had a shared balcony with another room.

Thankyou Martha and Bas for our stay at your wonderful B&B. From the small touches such as fresh flowers every day to the big things like the best bed I've ever slept in we appreciated your attention and care for your guests. Our room was quiet and peaceful and the common areas including a full kitchen were well utilized during our stay. A visit to this lovely canal house within easy walking distance of the train station, museums and great restaurants of the charming city of Utrecht could not be more highly recommended.

Visiting from the UK as part of a rock'n'rail odyssey around The Netherlands (watching Canada's The Tragically Hip), this was a perfect stay for a couple of nights. Martha offered the warmest of welcomes, and provided a comfortable and well appointed room, situated just a very short walk from the central canal, yet wonderfully peaceful. After walking around the fine old city of Utrecht, we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard, as further bonus in this oasis of calm and comfort. Thanks!

This was a fantastic place to stay - close to the centre and the Dom tower, and next to a peaceful canal. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The room and shared areas were beautifully presented, with stylish modern decor and a lot of thought had gone into little touches to make things comfortable. I can't recommend the Gregorius highly enough- and it thoroughly deserves its stunning reviews.

Thank you so much Martha for a really pleasant stay with you. We were delighted to find every single comfort we could wish for in your luxurious apartment. Other reviewers are quite right, we had the best bed ever and felt relaxed and most welcome at Gregorius. We plan to return....

My wife and I could not be happier with our stay. The property was built in 1605 and has a sense of nostalgia about it. Previously it was a old school.

Recently renovated only one year ago this B&B is extremely stylish and chic. The fit out and finish is very high quality and I put it to you that will not find a more comfortable bed! It's enormous (King size) my wife demanded we find the bed store as she wants to buy it and ship it to Australia.

Martha the host was extremely helpful and told us where the best restaurants were not the touristy ones and made us feel very welcome.

The locale here is second to none it's right on the canal and 200m away from the Dom church tower which dates back circa 1326. It's walking distance to everything. We did some late night shopping followed by some dinner all without the hassle of getting a taxi.

Highly recommend
