“Weekend at Preston Palace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

The all in basis of this hotel is very easy, although you know it's all included in the price. But it gives a very relaxed feeling to be able to leave your wallet in the room. It's more or less all you can eat, all you can relax, all you can drink but in a safe environment - security people everywhere when the alcohol starts to kick in... ;) Lots of people in the hotel but almost never too crowded. Facilities like bowling, midget golf are often available. Even when the party on Saturday night was going on, you still had room to sit by a small table and get drinks from various open bars.
The coffee corner was less cosy, a bit loud and dark. We therefore took our coffee etc to the area where we could sit by the fire.
The beds were not so comfortable - matrasses need renewal and pillows were small. Not very comfortable for more than 2 nights we expect (we stayed 2 nights).
Carnival was great, opening hours could be extended, swimming pool great, breakfast and lunching area fine; more than enough to choose from. We have not left the premises! And will be back with the kids in October!

Last request; a bar with music from the 70's/80's/90's etc. We respect the Dutch music lovers, but would like some compensation towards that music. More diversity please and we will stay even longer!

With so many people how is it possible very good. Staff was friendly and offers good service. We had a special room downstairs because my friend is invalid and that was great. Everything what we
need was there. When you compare price and quality is very good.

My first visit at Preston Palace, heard a lot about it and wanted to experience myself. For my 11 years old son it was an awesome time, so much to do in too little time ;(. Indoor kermis, midget golf, swimming pool... Didn't have enough time for the bowling and movies....
Food was good, brunch buffet as well as dinner buffet. Room was a 3/4 persons room, big enough, nice and big bathroom.
The only thing that bothered me were the people, drunk after closing time. The bars close at 1.00, and at 1.30h I was wide awake in bed because of the noise.

Arrived on sunday afternoon left on tuesday morning. This is a "all inn" hotel, if you arrive early they will not let you on the premises not even to park your car. Unless you pay extra. We had to pay 10 euro each for arriving 1,5 hours early. But whit that fee we could start eating and drinking straight away. (All inn) On sunday afternoon it was very busy, the indoor buffet area/midget golf/live music section was warm humid and full. Food is not too good, drinks are OK.
Loads of loud groups singing and shouting might be offending for people not used to this. At 3 pm you can collect your room key. Staff is very efficient and used to deal with the mass arrival of guests so no long waiting times here. Rooms are simple, not to small, bed is good and they appear clean. No luxury. I doubt if there's airconditiong.
Overall worth the money but not for a return the next few years.

This was my first visit with the family to Preston Palace.
At first the service level is very high. Staff is friendly and offers good service.
The brunch buffet as well as the diner buffet are good. The only disadvantage was that the buffet doesn't have name tags about what food is served, what kind of meat and so on. We don't eat beef and pork so we had to ask all the time what kind of meat was used in the dishes.

The swimming area is beautiful and the coffee corner is super!! You can eat all kind of pastries with a good cup of coffee, tea or hot coco.
The movies in the theatre are a bit outdated, but even there the service was very good.

The building is quite noisy. If people in the room next to you make a lot of noise you can hear everything. That's the only downside there is.

I think everyone can enjoy themselves at Preston Palace!

Room Tip: Rooms that are in the front of the hallway are much smaller than those in the end!

This is no Hilton hotel and the buffet food is 3 stars at best. The fact that it's all in just means you can drink and eat yourself to death while you are here. I certainly got my moneys worth. We got a mid week offer for 2 €399 for 3 nights. There wasn't many people in the hotel which made it a little bit boring in the bars at night. Not all the restaurant facilities are available during the week. Apparently in the weekend there is a grill and wok available. The bar street is really good except the bars are not all open at the same time. The swimming pool, sauna, steam-room are all fantastic. Pool, snooker, bowling, mini-golf all keep you entertained. The staff are super friendly and rooms are very clean. The bistro restaurant is €10 extra and is 4-5 star food and delicious!

I've visited the Preston Palace several times while traveling on business. It's simply a great experience every time! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is always extremely attentive and helpful. The waiter in the Piri Piri restaurant patiently translated the entire menu for me. I truly enjoy wandering through the many different gathering places in the hotel. There's lots of places to relax and take in the surroundings, and also lots of places where folks can have a few drinks and enjoy the company of others. The pool is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. The food is great, and the all-inclusive price gives you access to all the buffet meals. I've patronized the Bistro and the Piri Piri, and for a small added price, get an amazing meal with table service. You really have to visit to get the full experience!
