I have stayed in B&B Isis many times, the most recent being last week .Anna's hospitality is second to none.. She is very welcoming and kind and generous with assistance. The rooms provide excellent value for money. The house is 1920's - 1930's traditional and the stairs may be too steep for anyone with a mobility issue but for anyone else they should not be a problem. The rooms are clean and warm and there is an endless supply of (very) hot water for showers. The flat on the top floor is large and has a balcony looking out on the garden at the back as well as having a lovely view of the cathedral at the front. The rooms on the second floor are also a good size. Over the years I have stayed in them all!) . Breakfast is good with freshly brewed coffee and newly baked bread rolls every day. There are also coffee making facilities in each room. The property is close to the shopping area and the lovely historic buildings of Haarlem and is about a ten minute bus ride to the railway station with the nearest bus stop being a 5-6 minute walk away. If you want ultra-modern minimalist glossy decor with lots of glass and stainless steel the Isis will not be your thing but if you are more comfortable with a 'lived in' family home you will feel very comfortable here.
