“Excellent food, relaxing atmosphere, slow service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

Definitely part of the slow food movement…you will need a little time to eat here. The staff speaks Italian or English and are friendly. My dinner of a mixed salad and the mushroom ravioli was especially good. I also had a couple drinks and my bill was just over 20 euros. Fairly priced. I think they may only take cash, but not 100% sure about that. To me, it was worth the wait. If you are in a hurry, save this place for another time. If you want a long, relaxing, tasty Italian dinner, it is a great choice.

“We likened it to Fawlty Towers, comical in parts”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013 via mobile

Very slow service. Restaurant was busy and we had to wait in a courtyard area, after 20 minutes we asked if we could get a drink while waiting waited another 20. Waiter had no pen, got the simple drink order wrong, waiter thought another had taken food order and 1 meal forgotten. 2.5 hours for 3 pizzas and 2 pasta dishes. Food ok mot great

“worst italian restaurant in the world”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

after eating there we had lasagna and spaghetti carbonara the lasagna was frozen in the inside
and total inedible we sent back and had to argue over paying for this frozen monstrosity
the carbonara was disgusting and the egg had turned into scrambled egg because we had eaten some as we were starving at this point we had to pay for everything no complimentary
drink or apology the pizza bread was good that was the only thing worth eating I will definitely not go back there
and advise anyone else to eat somewhere different

“Really Italian”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

This restaurant is owned by an Italian family and you really experience that because they talk Italian/Dutch to you and to each other.
The ambiance of the place is great and very romantic. A great place for a date! They've also got a cosy garden were you can eat too.
The food is good, but ordinary. You have a lot of choice though.
Overall, great atmosphere in the heart of Haarlem.
