This is another example of a first class museum in The Netherlands. I visited in January and unfortunately was unable to see the large outside museum. It's closed in the winter and understandably so. However, I was not disappointed by the inside museum. Many very good displays and exhibits telling the local stories and lives of the local people. Friendly staff. Being the off season I had the whole museum to myself. Short train trip from Amsterdam. Then a 10 minute walk from the train station. Worth the effort. I plan on going back in the summer (and fight the crowds) to see the large outdoor section.
