I stayed at Aemstelhuys with my sister in October for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay at the B&B. Our room in the attic was beautifully presented and the beds very comfortable! The location is fantastic, away from the busier and slightly seedy centre of town, in an area which is filled with friendly locals rather than tourists and stag parties. Although the B&B is in a quiet street it is very close to a street with plenty of bars and restaurants to keep you occupied in the evening and lots of fancy shops to explore during the day. Lesley runs the B&B with a relaxed and friendly style; she is very helpful and welcoming. The tasty and filling breakfast of museli, fresh bread from the local bakery, cheeses and jams is supplemented with Lesley's tales of her globe trotting adventures! I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone who wants a luxurious stay in somewhere away from tourist traps, for a proper experience of Amsterdam.
