My boyfriend and I stayed in the Kuinder Room while visiting Amsterdam. Although somewhat out of the main part of the city, it was in an excellent location (near tram lines) that was very quiet, and near many restaurants and shops. Tram lines into town were only a 5 minute walk away and although about 15-20 minutes into town, it is a good way to familiarize yourself with the city.
The room itself was neat and clean and the bed was very comfortable! Although it was a B&B there was a lot of privacy as the owner lives on the next floor up. The website said that the double bed in Kuinder Room is small but we found it fine for two people.
Each morning breakfast was left for us in the kitchen (meats, cheese, bread, fruit, juice, milk, coffee and eggs) and we could get it ourselves when we were ready - no early wake up time if you want to eat! We were also allowed to use the kitchen facilities ourselves to store and cook anything else we bought.
Our host was very kind and extremely helpful. He gave us city guides, tram schedules, maps, and inside tips on places to go. He also let us print off online tickets.
Kuinder Room was definitely a fantastic place to stay on our trip - even when we got food poisoning and had to stay in bed our entire last day!
I'd definitely recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay that is not in the busy city centre.
