“Killer location, Great Staff, Late night bar.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2012

If you are looking for a place to crash for the night in a wonderful central location in Amsterdam, this is it. Great hipster hang out spot on the ground floor with bar, fireplace, etc. Wonderful location near restaurants and museums.

Only slight drawback is the size of the rooms. However, if you are here to enjoy the city, all you need is a very comfortable room with shower and toilet. The city is all about things to do and not about hanging out in your hotel room.

The staff here is amazing! Super nice, helpful and accomodating. Love this place and highly recommend it to friends visiting Amsterdam.

the staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were great. we chose it because it looked stylish and was in a good location for us and it didn't disappoint. the rooms were clean and well equipped although small, the sheets were synthetic which was uncomfortable. it was a bit noisy as our room overlooked a main road but then it is amsterdam and most places will tend to be noisy. we had a lovely time.

It was ok hotel, nicely presented and very clean. The staff didnt seem that helpful and it is not as close to central dam as advertised and also a little bit pricey for what you get. The room was very very small and we even looked at upgrading but that room was just as small. Maybe adding hot food to the breakfast as well would be good, other then that i enjoyed it.

good location, modern rooms nice but small bathroom, stayed in room 207 which was a bit noisy at night with guests coming and going. Good buffet breakfast, nice eating places nearby. Would stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel, yes the rooms are small but they are clean with excellent comfy beds & you don't go on a city break to spend time in your room! The location is excellent, nice & safe to walk around with good bars & restaurants nearby. Cafe Kale over the road is friendly & welcoming & they do a great cheese fondue. The bar area is good to relax in & chill out after a hard day sightseeing & the roaring fire & complimentary tea & coffee were a bonus. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for two nights mid week, 15 minute walk from town, 10 minutes from the metro and tram stop outside. Reception staff very helpful and helped me with directions, transport advice etc. Hotel has two buildings my room was at the top of some 'very' steep stairs which some might find difficult particularly with a big case.

Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. Free coffee and tea available, no evening meals as such but the Quiche from the bar was fantastic.

Room Tip: Stay away from top floor of second building if you don't like climbing!
