“A Balinese surprize in the heart of Amsterdam”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Restaurant Long Pura "Eternal Temple" is located in a typical monumental building in the centre of Amsterdam, nearby the Western Church in the cosy Jordaan area. Here hides a beautiful and colourful Indonesian temple. Upon entering you will be pleasantly surprised by the contemporary and stylish interior with Balinese elements and a warm candle light ambiance. The staff is friendly, works efficiently and to the point. The menu offers a variety of dishes, the house-wine is good and the prices are friendly.

“Good and simple food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

The hotel recommendet us this Restaurant and we were happy they did so. THey accepted a reservation and although we were a big group they served us fast and professionally.
What I liked of this restaurant is that you don't have to choose every single dish but they bring you a variety of different Indonesian dishes.

“Take chance try something different than Mc Donalds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

My wife and I enjoyed our first taste of Indonesian food in this centrally located restaurant and are traveling partrners insisted and we did not regret it. Service was pleasant and we liked the fact that the food is quick to be served as it is mostly based on a set menu. there was four of us so we all order different set and shared, we could of just ordered three sets and would been plenty. We had several the basic rice table, per person which consisted of several small bowls of different meat dishes with some vegetables/rice and additional spices. The food had different levels of spiciness so beware and most have coconut milk based sauces. Good value for money and an interesting link to Dutch history. Come early if you do not have reservations, due to being popular with locals.

“An Excellent Choice for Indonesian dishes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

We arrived in the early evening with reservations and were seated on arrival. Our food was served rapidly and the quality and presentation were excellent. The atmosphere was quiet and the bright colors were subdued by mood lighting. Highly recommended and if you opt for the rice table bring make sure that you are really hungry

“Simple Indonesian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

We enjoyed our first taste of Indonesian food in this centrally located restaurant. Service was pleasant and we liked the fact that the food is quick to be served as it is mostly based on a set menu. We had the basic rice table at 25 euros per person which consisted of several small bowls of different meat dishes with some vegetables/rice and additional spices. The food had different levels of spiciness and most have coconut milk based sauces. Good value for money and an interesting link to Dutch history.
