“Huge Pancakes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

It was a rainy evening and we searched for something to eat after a day of sight seeing.
My wife saw the place and suggested that we get in grab something to eat.
We walked in, was warm and very nice vibe. The waiter was very nice and fast.
We ordered 2 pancakes, one with banana and whipped cream, and the - ice cream with whipped cream pancake.
Waited about 5-10 minutes till we got our pancakes and it was huge!
We really didn't expected it to be that big.
For the taste - It was very good. It was so good that we came back few days later, only this time to order a different pancake. And no surprise, it was good as well.

Not a must, but if you are happen to be in the area or, finished your tour at the Heineken Experience, you might wanna give it a try.
We had a great time.

“Great for Families!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

I've eaten here a number of times ordering different things off the menu. All the food is just fine, not gourmet as you would expect, but homey. Huge selection of delicious pancakes. Burgers. It's airy, no fuss, with kids enjoying themselves but okay for anyone. There's small wooden horses inside the little kids can play on. I've always gotten decent service, no complaints. I also like the roomy booths by big windows looking out at the park. Convenient if you are staying nearby or going to or from the museums. Right on the tram line.

“Avoid this place!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013 via mobile

One glass was dirty. A pancake was okay though not my taste - but the cheeseburger and fries were actually disgusting- greasy and with a strange taste, I stopped after two bites. Service was okay but slow. Go eat somewehere else...!

“Disaster : Level 9000!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

First of all: good location, just nearby the Heineken, and not far from city park. We picked that place because its looked a good idea to pop-in for a quick afternoon meal as the place was quiet EMPTY! Looks like a big round tent with and old Carousel stolen from a funpark in the middle. looks more awkward then stylish .When we arrived we stud in the door about 2 minutes waiting for a staff to guide us to the table, but nobody came, so we decided to sit a least dirty table. Few leftover was there from the last costumers. After 10-15 minutes waiting still nothing happened and I wish we was left the place but we didnt. One of us went to the counter to ask a waitress to be served, she said to sit back will be there soon. There was an other 3 tables in the same time (7 costumers only). as she came cleaned the table with a wet cloth and give as a menu. Averege prices. We orderer 3 drinks and 3 mains. And then waited exacly 17 minutes again. So back to the counter sk for a drink, she said it will be served shortly before the meal, but sorry she is busy. (She was on phone texting or browsing and chating with the chef mostly). The chef looked like a homeless person. Sorry, dont want to be rude but he didnt bring the most impression you would expect from a chef. So drink and food arrived, sauce was missing but an extra chips we didnt ask. wish we could tell her, but she never shown up again. the meal was a worst we ever had in Amsterdam, very low quality, and poorly done. cheap ingredients used as well. Dont want to share details about, hope no one will experience! After we finished and wait an other 10 minutes we decided to pay at the counter, to get out as quick as possible. We didnt left any tips, why would we after that. But we got back the changes in 10-20 cent coints. A good handfull.
Dont understand how that place still open, cant imagine that any people would go back. Thanks God it situated in Amsterdam and tourists like us , always get there , unless it would be close very very very long time.

“Lovely atmosphere, DELICIOUS pancakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

A friend who lived in Amsterdam for a few years recommended that I drop in to sample their pancakes, I was not disappointing!

Both savory (bacon and cheese) and sweet (ice cream, whipped cream and bananas) dishes were amazing. The portions were large and the staff was courteous.

Oh, and did I mention that there is an actual carousel inside the restaurant? :)
