During our stay in Amsterdam, we were looking for a nice place to have a Sunday brunch. After having a couple evening drinks at this place, we decided we liked the old art-deco style and made a reservation. Better reserve because we saw it fully booked after 12:30.
They claim in their ad that this is a Jazz Brunch. OK, live music, nice, but that is not exactly true for jazz.
The room is very large, with high ceilings, art-deco decoration, a lot of brass, If you like it modern and funky, that's not exactly your place. This is an old, traditional restaurant, where many people, but not all, still wear a jacket.
The Prix Fixe brunch is at 37.50 euros. This includes two glasses of Italian sparkling wine and opulent buffet.
To start with, there is Station 1 with all the starters, fish or meat, vegetables, fruits, croissants etc...
Station 2 offers a wide array of entrées.
Station 3 opened much later, with a fantastic choice of desserts.
All in all, this brunch will keep you busy for 2 to 3 hrs. Very good value for the price.
We enjoyed it a lot, and it will be a must for us when we go back to Amsterdam.
