We had dinner here on my birthday and enjoyed every morsel. It's not cheap and if you don't want to get through 2 bottles, you need to stop them topping up your glass every 2 minutes but it certainly was a fabulous meal. We were brought choux buns with a shrimp mousse to get us in the mood, the amuse bouche was a small bowls of hot and sweet mussels with a foam and cucumber gel and wasabi crunch; a shot glass with lemongrass cream with crevette and a sort of savoury custard and a cup with a consome type liquid and a nibble of something fishy.
My husband then had sashimi as a starter - very fresh and with a wasabi sour cream which set off the raw fish (tuna, salmon and sea bass) well. I had bouillabaisse with a razor clam, some small clams, mackeral and some crevettes - it was beautifully rich and the rouille finsihed it off to perfection. I then had seabass with a seafood risotto and some nicely bitter artichoke for balance while my husband had monkfish with porkbelly and soft shell crab tempura with an intense seafood sauce. We had no space pudding but our espressos came with petit four so not hard done by. On a Monday night in December when restaurants all around looked pretty empty, this place was fully booked with a sea of happy diners. Yes service is leisurely but I don't want to rush a meal like this.
