“Traditional dishes, cosy restaurant & reasonable prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

If you're looking for an authentic, cosy restaurant serving traditional Dutch dishes at reasonable prices then look no further! We were recommended The Pantry by a friend and are so glad we went. We ordered from the set menu and at 22.5 Euros for 3 courses this price was great value for money (relative to central Amsterdam where main dishes alone average between 15-20 Euros) The food was delicious, hearty and served by a very friendly waiter. The restaurant is small which really adds to it's atmosphere and we would therefore recommend making a reservation, particularly if visiting in high season.

“Friendly people tasty, traditional food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

This a welcoming restaurant seating 12 of us without a booking with no fuss at all. The menu is traditional Dutch food, I chose one of the set menus which consisted of a pea soup starter, a dish with three types of mashed potato, mixed with curly kale, carrot and sauerkraut served with either a large sausage or a big meatball and gravy. There was also a slightly strange yogurt and custard dessert, I wasn't sure about that. Overall I felt I'd had experienced Dutch cuisine and enjoyed it.
