“Good Food, Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Good food, quick service, very busy but they dont serve wine by the bottle in a carafe from pumps, tasted ok but not worth spending a lot on wine.

“Thank you tripadvisor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

We searched for "Indonesian restaurant" on tripadvisor and this place was second on the list. Tried the 1st which was full (only about 12 seats) so bounced on here and glad we did. We had never eaten Indonesian food before so took the advice of our very friendly and efficient server.
We were a party of 4 and took the advice of our server and chose two lots of set plates for two. The food was delicious, piping hot, plenty of it and delivered to our table within 10 minutes of ordering despite the place being packed.
Wine was attractively priced at 16.50 Euros for a 750ml Carafe with the only downside being charged 4.50 Euros for "house" bottled water.

“Still the same, very good though”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

we always eat here whenever we're close, noticed the place got bigger it used to be really small but it's the same i mean we really like it and all but we just wish to see a change for instance the menu options feels really limited, you almost pay 70 euros each!! so it's no cheap or reasonable priced. am not complaining of the prices it's fine by me but we kind of expecting more to choose from. but hey nice genuine food and very cheerful staff and we would go back even if you decided not to add more stuff to your menu :)

“Delicious Ristafel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We ordered two different ristafels and ended up with a table overflowing with dishes, all of which were tasty. We had a good variety of fish, chicken, beef and veggie dishes.

The service was good, with our waiter providing good advice on what to order and being very patient with us changing our minds a lot!

Good value meal for the centre of Amsterdam

“So many choices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

The occasion was a goodbye party for a friend of ours and since we knew that he was very fond of indonesian cooking, we decided to go here. The restaurant was already packed with people when we arrived. Luckily, we had reserved a table for our group. Otherwise, there would have been no chance to seat all of us. We followed the indonesian tradition and ordered a lot of small bowls with all kind of specialities, ranging from goat to fish and all kinds of vegetables, with spicy sauce, with mild sauce and much more. Really, we had a huge selection. And as far as I can tell, everybody was very happy with the food. We were even so happy that a couple of us went for another round ordering again the favorite dishes from the first. Unfortunately, it took the waiter a little bit long to recognize us so that we could order again.
At last, most of us took also a dessert, which I have to say was the dissappointment of evening for me. The portion was very small for the price I had to pay and the taste was really not that special. Next time, I would definitely skip that dish.
The service was ok during the whole evening, although it took them some time to see us which was sometimes quite annoying especially in the end, when you want to pay.
In sum, tasty indonesian food in a very nice restaurant which is a bit more expansive than other places I have been to in Amsterdam. However, if I were you, I would probably skip the dessert and go for another bowl during the main course.
