I was in Amsterdam for a conference at the RAI which was located around a 25 minute pleasant walk away through Beatrix park. Nessie was a fantastic host, very accommodating. Breakfast was great and as previous reviewers have written, kept me full until the afternoon. I had never been to Amsterdam before and although I did not get to do too much site seeing I loved the place. It felt like a very homely city, a bit like Sheffield in the uk although with more water and no hills. I am definitely aiming to come back and do more sight seeing. My husband and I searched hard for a place that would be great for our honeymoon, and we definitely found it at Garden View! Nessie is great -- very friendly and helpful, with loads of great advice about what to see and where to eat (take her advice about the Indonesian restaurant!). She even got us a nice bottle of champagne since it was our honeymoon! She gave us a map and had guidebooks and umbrellas for us to borrow, which was great. Even though it's a little off the beaten path, Amsterdam is small enough that you're really not far from anything you'd want to see or do while you're there, and it's only about 15 minutes from her place to the centre of the city. The room was really beautiful, with lots of careful touches, and we had our own little terrace. It was really quiet and peaceful at night, so we slept great. And, of course, breakfast was awesome -- there is so much of it that she gives you sandwich bags so you can carry bread, cheese, etc. with you throughout the day, which definitely came in handy. Overall, I would really recommend this B&B, especially if you are looking for something romantic and special.

After an extensive search of affordable accommodation in Amsterdam we stumbled across this lovely B&B. Tucked away between the city and the airport we could not believe the tranquillity and garden views, yet easy access to public transport. Nessie provided us with a lovely room. Breakfasts were excellent, and were enough to last us half of the day. We were given information and museum passes which helped us explore the city. All in all we had a great experience in a relaxing place; what a great spot to know.

We just came back from a weekend in Amsterdam where we stayed at this lovely B&B. The landady is absolutely a treat and she is extremely helpful with any sort of questions you could have. She also provided museum passes and maps and gave great directions to find things esp tram & train stops. It is extremely well kept and super clean she even brings you breakfast in your bed room which is very filling. Towels, hairdryer, shampoo & shower gel and slippers are all provided for. Excellent value for money. Can't wait to visit again!
