We booked this hotel at the end of a two week stay in Holland and Belgium and were willing to pay $335 a night to ensure a good nights sleep before the long flight home to California. Both couples could not sleep as the temperature in the rooms was at least 85 degrees! We had King beds on the 4th floor - and the entire purpose of the stay was completely defeated - it was like trying to sleep in a sauna.

When I called the front desk to see what could be done, they offered to bring a fan up. I could not get an explanation as to why the rooms were so hot - perhaps they did not have the air conditioning functional - but they were not forthcoming with an explanation.

If I were staying in a $100 bed and breakfast, I would expect a fan to keep the room comfortable. However, at $335 per night, I expect climate controlled temperature in the rooms.

Good standard airport hotel, with better service than you normally experience in Europe. Room was comfortable, bed especially so. Lots of thick towels and room service was reasonably fast and quality was OK. There was an ice machine located in the hallway, and the staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. Didn't waste my time with breakfast, Schiphol has excellent restaurants and a grocery store where you can buy the basics. It's only a short walk to the terminal, either outside for a breath of fresh air or along the enclosed walkway. This is my preferred hotel at Schiphol airport for an early flight. The internet access was also good, but not free.

We had an early morning flight to the US and decided to stay over at the airport the night before. Hilton had a good weekend price for the hotel. Check in was ok, although my room type requests with Hilton didn't seem to get through to the hotel (twice now in the last couple of months) which required a follow up visit to reception to change rooms. Staff was competent and friendly. Hotel looks nice and we enjoyed a glass of wine.
Room was clean and had all of the Hilton extras. As others have stated, it is very quiet.
Free breakfast for Gold VIP members in the executive lounge was good and I didn't see anything important missing. The view of the airport from the lounge is nice.
Getting to the airport terminal is a breeze: Walk out of the hotel to the right. You will see stairs and an elevator. Go up one level and presto - you are in the walk way from the parking garages to the airport terminal. I suppose this would only be a problem if it is raining - as you have to cover about 50 meters uncovered until you get to the elevator/stairs to the covered walkway.

If you are a walker, don't bother with the bus, it's silly. It took me 5 minutes with my cart to get to the hotel from the main terminal, you take the elevator down and you are at the hotel, come on, don't be so lazy!

The check in was very efficient and friendly, exactly as you would expect from an airport location.

The room is tasteful and functional and the bed was indeed nice, as was the bathroom.

I came back from the centre at 2 AM and ordered a club sandwich from room service and the waiter was extremely helpful and the sandwich was excellent, and not that expensive.

Checkout next morning was embarassingly friendly and helpful.

This is an airport hotel, and at 149 Euros good value. Anyone who suggests the Sheraton at 300 euros plus needs their heads examined.
