I stayed here twice in April, each time using my Hilton points, as Hilton Silver.
The hotel is fine, but not extraordinary. My "above average" ranking is in recognition that it is an airport hotel, in the middle of a city it would get "neutral" at best. As described by others, it is onsite at Schiphol, but about a 10 minute walk, either inside (with a quick outdoor walk at the end) or outside alongside the World Trade Center. There is a shuttle, but we never waited for it and chose to walk since the weather is nice. If convenience is your prime consideration choose the Sheraton which is much closer to the airport.
Rooms are small, but on my second trip we were upgraded to a somewhat larger room. Both were comfortable, although decorated in a "no two pieces of furniture are from the same era" fashion. As Hilton Silver I received a small welcome gift and a nice note on both occasions. On the second trip I was recognized by the system and was able to bypass all the "show me your passport" stuff.
A perfectly decent place to spend your last night before a morning plane trip, and a great way to save the price of a hotel night if you have Hilton points in the bank. Otherwise, stay in town.
