“Cheap and cheerful, but a bit naff.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

The place as a whole was bearable, going there I was a bit anxious because it had a bad rep, but for £25/night you do get what you paid for! The good points about the hotel were that the rooms weren't too cramped, the bathrooms were nice and the availability of plug sockets was very welcome! However, the breakfast was terrible (cheese, cold cuts and disgusting scrambled egg, I expected a lot more for €6.50!), there was no A/C or even a fan when it was boiling, and we had to be moved to a smaller room.

Overall, not a bad trip, but not great either....

Located near the trams, you reach anything within a short time. The hotel is built within houses of the old Amsterdam style and offers from rooms for young people with outside bath and shower to rooms including baths, still at reasonable prices. 24 hrs service with breakfast buffet at Eur.6.50.
If you want to spend a good time without spending all your savings, this is the place to go..
Very friendly and helpful staff

Room Tip: Upper floors not advisable if you depend on a elevator

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel with my family. First of all it was very small rooms with no space for clothes nor luggage. At first sight the rooms were clean and I just thought it was the usual big-city-high-season-rip-off.
Then came the real nightmare. My children's room showed to be infected by BED BUGS. I immediately told the management about the problem when we detected it as such. The mattress was replaced ( probably by another bug infected mattress) and the room sprayed. The manager excused himself on behalf of the hotel and gave us some free beers. Everybody was friendly, we were allowed to put my daughters clothes in the freezer and I thought it was going to OK from now on. But no - every morning new bites. The last morning we saw ALIVE bed bugs in the bed!!!!!!!
I claimed my money back for the 5 nights the kids spent in the room and was offered a mere 50 euros to settle the matter. when I kept complaining, I was threatened that the 50 euros would be taken back from my account if I contacted Tripadvisor.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE PLACE.

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and left in the middle of the night due to a tick infestation we did not see when we checked in. The hotel is fine and in a good location but has a problems with an infestation.

Room Tip: Avoid room 6 or better yet don't stay here at all.

Stayed in a private 4 beds suite.
Pros: the room was clean and pretty new., everything functioned well., including bathroom facilities. Was cleaned daily. Quiet area., supermarket nearby. Reception guys were pretty nice.
Cons: the room was very small., basically fitted only 4 beds and a wardrobe. It's ok if you come there only to sleep.,though. A bit outside of the center, takes about 15 minutes by tram., but also not a big problem.
Overall: no critical problems., if you are limited in terms of money or other things., it's a decent option

Stayed here with a group of mates back in 2011.

One of the worst places i've stayed.

None english speaking staff, unhelpful.
Bathrooms shared and dirty.
TERRIBLE location. Miles from anywhere.

Avoid this hotel, book somewhere much closer to the city centre.

We did not really had a good experience. The hotel is so far out of the city center and there isn't any bars or eating places after 22 o'clock. But if you want is quiet I guess it's fine. It is fairly clean though, not as in the pictures, and the hotel staff is nice. Breakfast not so good, not worth waking up for it.
