We have stayed at this hotel three times now and each time the staff has been very friendly and helpful. Though no fault of theirs, we have had an issue each time we've stayed requiring some assistance. One time a friend needed emergency medical, another time we needed someone to converse in Dutch with an airline on our behalf, etc. Each time the staff helped us resolve our problem quickly and with care. The included mini bar is a nice touch as well. The building is one of the most interesting you will ever see. It turned out to be one of the stops on the sightseeing tour we booked! They have an indoor pool and sauna that looks really nice though we have yet to try it. We have always visited in the summer and have found the rooms to be rather cooler than we're used to. They do not run the heat in the summer - they locals thing its hot! But there are plenty of extra blankets to be had. Overall, I highly recommend a visit here. It is not cheap, but not much in Amsterdam is.
