“Has potential”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2014

This B&B has great potential. Just needs some attention.
I stayed here for 3 nights with 3 friends. The room itself was clean but had some issues that should have been addressed before our arrival.
PROS- Nice decent sized clean room. Nice décor. Good shower
Good location, tram 4 straight to city centre
Lidl supermarket directly across the road
Nice guy serving breakfast. Very pleasant and made me fantastic eggs 2 days in a row, always nice to have a choice of something hot or cold
Very comfortable beds
It was a reasonable price to stay here.

CONS- The light in the bathroom had been ripped out for what ever reason and there was a lamp in there on the floor which definitely was health and safety at its finest. Was told the issue would be resolved that same day which I knew was a complete lie because you could see it had been like that for a while. Should have been informed of this before hand instead of me having to go and ask.
The toilet flusher had come away from the wall so was awkward to flush.
There was an obvious drain problem and the smell in the bathroom was very undesirable.
There was a fridge in the room which should not have been allowed to be around humans, it should be thrown away immediately. The mould that was inside it was absolutely disgusting and why they keep it in the room in that state is beyond me.
Tv only had 3 channels, only one in english sometimes and the reception wasn't good on it, maybe needed an Ariel.
Wi-fi worked on the first night but lost its way the last 2 days so we ended up having to buy a internet day pass on our phones just so that we could google a few things that we wanted to do over there.
Narrow stairs but not the worse thing in the world

Pro and Con- The reception is closed most of the time which means you are left to your own devices which is ok until you need some sort of assistance.

Without doubt the grubbiest establishment I have ever stayed in. The room itself was tidy but smelled musty. The bedclothes were a disgrace; marks on the pillowcases that I think might have been mould. Filthy carpet.

No lifts, narrow stairs. No offer of assistance with my bags.

I was only booked for one night. If it had been more I'd have cancelled and checked out.

Stayed for a few days with friends. Pleasant and friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast and a great location right near the water and public transport links. Very pleased! Highly advised.

Rooms were comfortable and clean with good heating, Staff were very helpful and breakfast was good with a variety of choice. Push blikes available for hire and public transport close by. Loads of fantastic restaurants in the area. I would recomend this place for a comfortable stay.

We arrived on the 8th of April 2014 and we were astounded by the filth and the lack of customer care. Appalling level of maintenance and cleanliness, No working TV ( the owner had been in dispute with the providers, presumably the bill was unpaid ) No heating at a time it was needed. Poor and often non existent assistance from Hotel management. This place does not warrant a 3* status, in fact I will contact the rating agency to review this. There is severe cracking in the walls with the outside visible! This place needs to be maintained, it could be nice but the management do not have the willingness to sort it out. Customer care non existent. Avoid at all costs!!!!!

Not bad...good for the price and the staff is very helpful. There's no WiFi in room 9. The breakfast is OK. I recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap place to stay close to the center and you are not very demanding. Great for youngsters!

Close to the tram and Rambrandt plein, nice area, a big choice of cheap restaurants. Albert s market very close, great.
Prefer a day or several days gvb public transport card because there is plenty to do and it s splitted in different areas.

Room Tip: Stairs are narrow so ask for first flour if problems to climb Quieter on the patio side then street...
