Perfect hotel! Should be a 5 star.
Takes around 10minutes to walk to Amsterdam centrum station.
The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly.
One minor problem, the key cards weren't working but was sorted as soon as possible. (Apparently we wasn't putting the key in properly but I'm sure we was)

We were on vacation in Amsterdam. It was a wonderful stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They met all my needs and expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel. Wish it was closer to city.

We had a lovely stay here. Good location and the hotel had a complimentary shuttle bus which collected us from the station and dropped us back off there. It took us no more than ten minutes to reach the centre of Amsterdam on foot. We had a meal in the Silk Bar and found the portions very generous and good value for money. The staff were helpful, friendly and approachable.

Everything was fine and properly managed. Hotel is located in a quiet location, comfortable distance to city center. Excellent restaurant and warm hospitality. Room was very clean and well equipped, all services including internet have been very friendly.

I tried a few hotels in Amsterdam but was never satisfied: expensive and too little value for the money

Now this one has some really nice features but also some flaws. It is not cheap but still ok regarding the Amsterdam prices. My bottom line is that I will probably visit again. I can live with the flaws especially when I skip the breakfast. I would also try to use their shuttle service to get to the hotel instead of walking.

The hotel is not far from the train station (Amsterdam Centraal) but if you walk with a suitcase it is not very convenient, not easy to find and will surely take you 20 minutes. I attached a little map how to get there. However, for your way back they have a free shuttle which goes every half hour.

The best feature of this hotel is certainly the view from your room over the city and the water (ask for a higher floor). See also my photos.

My room was stylish, nice design, comfortable. Nice bathroom also, although I would have preferred a dedicated shower instead of the bathtub. You could see signs of wear but it was generally well maintained. WiFi was slow and inconvenient to connect and I had to call the reception after getting to my room because I was not registered yet. In the morning of my departure they obviously took me from the list and WiFi stopped working for me.

The public spaces are ok although not overly impressive. The reception hall was totally crowded with conference people when I arrived. It was terribly noisy and it took quite a while to check in.

There is a also a gym which is quite nice but mainly focused on cardio training. However, there are also some free weights and a multi purpose resistance machine.

The breakfast was ok but the selection of food, the quality and the presentation was not really what you would expect in this category. There are two large breakfast rooms: the one with the buffet which was very crowded and noisy and an adjacent one which was quiet and had a great view on the water. The disadvantage of this room is that you have to carry everything quite a long distance and there are no trays. There is also no service at all and the few waiters standing around somewhere ignore the guests completely.

Room Tip: Higher floor!

The hotel is not very centrally located but is just one tram stop away from the main station. The hotel is possibly built for Rooms are nice and spacious with great views from everywhere. Staff are friendly too but in a place like Amsterdam, you wouldn't spend much time in the hotel anyway so whilst its nice, location would be more important. We opted for the quick breakfast that costed Euro 9 per person for a coffee and a very insipid croissant. If we were to go back to Amsterdam, I would stay somewhere near Dam Square to be closer to the attractions and all the action.
