This hotel is just a short tram stop away, from the central station, because of its location & its cleanliness, I would reccomend.
dont go her if you gave walking difficulties, although, the hotel offers a free shuttle service for its guests to get you into central Amsterdam Free of charge as a courtesy, they will also pick you up again to return to the hotel up until 7.30pm.

Lovely place to stay in Amsterdam. Hotel is spotless, the bathroom was clean. Bit expensive but I think you get what you pay for. We had room service nearly everyday and I couldn't complain once, food was superb! And we got back one day to a messy room ( 3 girls in one room it was out fault ) but usually they cleaned up but they had written a letter to us saying the housekeeper didn't clean our room as we had important valuables on the bed. I thought this was very professional, it made us feel secure in the hotel. I 100% recommend.

Movenpick hotel was an amazing hotel, staff were very polite and helpful , rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable and the room was a warm temperature. Amsterdam centre is about a 7 minute walk which is nothing. Overall this stay was a 10/10.

Stayed for 3 nights for my wife's birthday weekend and found the whole experience quite average. I booked this via the BA website and booked a double room, be careful, their version of double rooms mean twin beds. So on check in we were allocated a twin room and told we can push them together but there will be a little gap! Not a good start, decided in the end on a very good rating rather than average mainly thanks to Gijs on reception he managed to find us a better room on a high floor with king bed, so thanks to him we became happy campers. Hotel itself is a 20 min walk to Dam Square. Taxis available outside, 15 min walk to Central Station, Tram 26 opposite hotel takes you there as well. Bio and Finnish saunas and fitness room. Shuttle runs every 30 mins on the hour from hotel to Central station and will pick you up 5mins and 35mins past the hour from the station back to hotel if you let them know in advance otherwise bus gets fully booked as I found out. Word of warning try and get a room as far away from the lifts as you can as you can hear them whirling up and down at night while laying in bed. Having been moved to a better room on check in, I didn't have the heart to complain about this even though our room was a good 25 yards and round a corner from the lifts. Would I return.....not sure.

Room Tip: High rooms have great views but get as far away from the lifts, as you can hear them whirling up and...

We stayed at this hotel January 5-7 while visiting Amsterdam. Our travel agent had made the reservation for us so we weren't really familiar with the hotel. Once we arrived, we were delighted with the hotel. Though we arrived earlier than official check in, they found a room for us (we were jet lagged after something like fourteen hours of air flights). The room had an amazing view of the ship traffic going in and out of the Amsterdam harbor. We found that the hotel is located very close to the central station and the canal system so would recommend this hotel to anyone touring Amsterdam. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no restaurants near the hotel but, fortunately, the bar served wonderful meals with locally brewed beer - we are there as often as we could.

This was a great place to stay for our three nights in Amsterdam. Our room afforded us a spectacular view from the 8th floor and was large and comfortable as well. We booked on Hotwire and received a good deal that made this a better option than staying a smaller place closer to the centre. Ultimately, this was just a short walk to everything and that's what you want to do in Amsterdam anyways, walk around and explore. The food was too pricey so we didn't order from the hotel, but there was a small fridge in the room and a kettle for making tea and instant coffee in the morning.

Room Tip: Definitely try and get a room with a view of the harbour or the city centre, that's what makes i...

It is well situated, although it is a 10 minute walk from the center.
Do some research in advance if you come by car, because the parking space outside the hotel is golden. I paid 54 euro's for about 24 hours. There should be a cheaper one in the area but the hotel receptionist told that when I was checking in already, so a bit too late.
Check-in was great, the young man was very friendly and asked what kind of room we wished. I told him 2 beds because my sister is a handful during her sleep.
We got a nice room at a corner, with a beautiful view on the 14th floor.
The pressure in the shower could be better for me because I have a lot en thick hair. Beds are very nice.
I missed a bottle of fresh water. We had to buy that at one of the floors out of a vending machine. I can tell you that the people in the elevator looked surprised when I went up to the 15th in my short pj.
Wifi is very fine.
Breakfast is very fine, you have a lot to choose from and it is nice that they separate the bigger groups from the 'couples' that visit the hotel.
You can take the bus or tram to the city centre, but I would tell you to go by foot. It's a healthy walk and you have some nice views.

Room Tip: Ask a room in a corner and high.
